Qantas Business Class meals & menus

QF80 - Tokyo Narita to Melbourne - 15 June 26

Nothing really stood out to me on this menu. I ended up going the soup, which came after the usual serve of leaves and bread (accompanied by some hard butter). Not sure why this couldn't be served together considering no starter.

Nonetheless, the soup was very tasty.

Cheese for dessert and also requested the fruit, which was provided but not pictured.

Breakfast hot options were:
- Goat cheese and leek tart, with tomatoes and herb salad
- Spanish frittata with sunflower seed romesco, bacon, and Spanish

Went with the tart. Was very fresh and enjoyable.

Crew were just okay. Had a more engaged crew on QF1 in economy last month - this crew was more going through the motions.

Can anyone tell me what order the meal orders are taken on a domestic 737 business class flight? I want to choose a seat based on this so I have a higher chance of getting my choice of meal

generally front to back, left side of the cabin to right. Unless there are P1's that the CSM might approach first.

1A->3F.

But seats in rows 1 and 2 are blocked for status members, and while those open at check-in, you’re unlikely to get a seat there.

It's truly a sad state of affairs that when flying J people need to worry about this to get their food choice. QF should be ashamed.

C’mon. Intra europe there’s a single choice on many carriers. At least QF is offering a choice.

And even when QF does offer a choice - sometimes three choices even on SYD-MEL sectors - people complain ALL choices don't contain meat, or contain xyz vegetable.

US carriers are even worse in terms of choice. You have to be on a flight considerably longer than anything we have on the east coast of australia to even get a meal on board.

Just because a different airline offers a single meal in Europe, that doesn't make it ok what QF do. If J includes a choice of meals, then it should be a choice of meals, regardless where you sit in the J cabin.

I think one of main differences is cost base. Often intra Europe fares are considerably cheaper than anything QF offer. Additionally it's the size of the cabin. QF are static in size in Europe it's not where 40 percent of the load can actually be in the "business" seat.
