Qantas Brisbane Domestic Business Lounge

As I've said before, I'm hugely unimpressed with the BNE J lounge (perhaps it's designed to cater for the good folk of Gympie and surrounding areas).

Whenever I'm in BNE I'll go to the J lounge to see what's on offer, and usually, shortly afterwards, go to the Club lounge, which is always completely packed, but does offer self service wine which I appreciate.

BNE is the only Qantas J lounge that I know of that doesn't offer self service wines. Why is that, I wonder (rhetorical question).

Is it still the case? I’m on a 9:30pm QF departure BNE-MEL soon.

The current answer is that "The Oven" closes at 7:30pm. As does the second bar service area.

Offerings from "The Oven" might run out sooner. Yesterday, they had run out of the chicken pie choice sometime before 6:30pm. But the other items were still available.

The oven was used to cook(?) and keep hot, chicken pieces that the server used to create the tacos.

Spinach leaves salad because salad shouldn't be on a menu titled: "From the oven."

Perhaps it's because Queenslanders won't eat things that haven't been grilled, baked or fried!
