So, if I understand this correctly, I can give my new tags to my wife for those occasions when she flys with me. Having said that when I am doing an overseas leg, you almost always go through the counter staff - when they manually check your bags in anyway.
I had one fellow at Heathrow BA ask me what the tags were for, he seemed alarmed at the thought it might be one more way machines were replacing people.
I thought QF were in the middle of a trial with BA at LHR for the use of Q Bag Tags internationally?
Newk, thanks for the update.
Re your final comment, this begs another question I have been wanting to ask. Qantas tags or not, my bags take around 25-30 minutes to appear on the carousel. My recent bout of travel both domestically and overseas has seen me start to time how long the luggage takes to "arrive" on the carousel. Am I the only one?

Ashleyn, I am intrigued by your comments.
Why should the different level of tags be worth different amounts??

So if the original holder's "benefits" don't transfer to the new user of the tags, surely we aren't saying people are paying for pose value only??
