I think that the invite was only sent to members who had already qualified as P1
 
My PA and son were both invited via email. I was called and invited to the evening event and a more intimate gathering for lunch earlier in the day.

O/T My small group will be heading straight from the event to catch up with a certain band for post concert drinks!!
 
got the invite as well. am thinking of re-arranging some syd travel to make sure I go along. Wonder how many AFF members are P1s and will be attending?

Well the answer is yes you can be a CL and a WP1 at the same time. I presume the new red ink will appear on my CL card when they reissue it. Does anyone know for sure?

From what I have learned, CLs get all the WP1 benefits plus the CL benefits. So why would a CL want a WP1 card? It would be like me, a WP, wanting to have a SG card as well.

Or are there WP1 benefits that CLs do not have??????

There is no way a CL would wish to attain P1.

It is true that a majority of CL's would NOT qualify for P1..... They do not need to!!

I happen to fly an extraordinary amount myself.... I easily attain the SC's for P1 but would be shattered if QF sent me a card!!

It's a bit like lots of ppl would love to have the amount of money I have...... But if you are Bill Gates and woke up one day and had what I had.... You'd jump off the Westgate!!:shock:
 
I wonder if you'll get a look at the 787, the future star of QF's, I mean JQ's fleet? It's supposed to be in town then although the details haven't been announced yet.

Got the invite, but unfortunately, in the tradition of attaining P1, I'll be travelling. Would have liked to go.
