Just curious what people are using on their phones. Obviously there are apps for each airline and most hotel chains if you have a flight or stay booked with them. But what else do you find useful?

E.g. Uber, AwardWallet, MyTeksi for taxis in KUL, then there's the Singapore taxi app, etc...

Tripit for my itinerary, Citymaps2go for offline maps w/ GPS, MyFlights for my flight details and change notification, XE Currency Pro for currency, Expert flyer for seating. If I'm spending any particular time in a city I'll get the metro/public transpor/tourist app then remove it afterwards.

"SMRT Connect" for navigating the Singapore metro rail system.
"Explore Singapore MRT map".
"Smartraveller" from the Australian DFAT.

I have a few that come in handy

XE
whatsapp
viber
wi-fi finder
urban spoon

I also use Stocard to hold all airline/hotel/car hire loyalty numbers
Stocard is excellent for this.

We use Google Drive to securely store PDFs of passports, itinerary, airline and hotel reservations, car hire bookings, insurance policy and other stuff like drivers licences and such. Plus travel articles. Has the advantage one can have data on both phones and tablets of different makes.

Most of the apps I have have already been mentioned, but I also use Viber and Skype for making wifi phone calls. Offmaps for preloading city maps when wifi isn't available.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

With iDevices and Android one can pre-Load maps of the route that you are travelling so this is not a problem anymore, plus if you use TomTom or Sygic, the maps are offline anyway.

XE
Baidu Maps
Skype
Taobao Travel
China Railways timetable
Tripit
Kayak

I also make sure that all the reservation emails and their attachments/PDFs are loaded on to my phone to access offline before I go.

I don't need an navigation app, just something that is cheap (~$9 for unlimited maps) for walking around. YMMV.

Yes you can purchase separate apps for different cities etc buy there's no need since you can now do that with Apple Maps and Google maps for free. Just preload the map data when you have access to wifi.

In addition to those mentioned Dropbox for universally accessible storage and copilot for completely offline navigation. Also sometimes the walking tours for particular cities.

CityMaps2Go had been good for walking around Paris and Bruges. Doesn't do directions.

Just curious. I see many people use TripIt and no mentions of Worldmate. TripIt people...why do you prefer that over Worldmate?
