What iPhone app do you guys use to store PDFs saved from emails?

GoogleDrive (with all documents set to keep on device) then if needed Klammer to read all file types incl PDFs, Outlook msg formats etc. Then one can use Kindle or iBooks on iPad / iPhone.

Umm, 'cos I haven't heard of it. Any good?

Its not bad. I think essentially same idea as TripIt. Forward all confirmation emails and it builds up an itinerary. Basic version is free. Paid gives you flight change alerts and some other stuff. As you can probably tell, I'm using the free version.

Im getting update alerts with MyFlights which is free.

Been using My Flights for a while and it is excellent for flight tracking. Works via both Sabre and Amadeus.

I've experimented with Tripcase on my current trip. It's advantage is to be able to hold hotel and train details for a journey. However, it had trouble accepting a TA flight booking. It also falls over sometimes when there is no data connection. When I quickly want to check train number or hotel name to cross reference with station info boards, or paper maps, I don't want to wait 5 minutes while the app tries to update before deciding to show more than a blank screen.

Maps.me

Better than city maps 2 go
Offline
Free
Does driving directions/navigation
Even has the pistes/runs in niseko on it- I.e paths that off the beaten track.

Just wondering if anyone has had success importing MH bookings with their 5 character PNR into any travel apps?
Doesn't work in MyFlights, for example.
(I know I can add it manually but then it won't be updated and frankly what's the point?)

Quoting myself but ... I discovered tripcase does process MH booking confirmation emails and retrieve all data - including seats!
However, it doesn't understand the new QF emails confirmations!

Yes I've had an MH booking go in Tripcase ok.

My flights is limited to Amadeus and Sabre. It would be good if MH got with the rest of the world. ;)

Worked for me with TripIt (PRO)... I seem to recall I might have added a couple of parameters manually, like the seat assignments and class... but that's a bit hit and miss with many carriers I import. This is as recent as 2 weeks ago that I did one.

Cheers.

For me it's:

TripIt
Maps.me (but remember to download maps before you go)
XE Currency
GoodReader (for document storage)
Speedometer (I like to see how fast the train is going!)
and, of course, AFF.

I use a Windows Phone, so there's not as much choice for me. Anyway, I use XE Currency for currency conversion, and also CommBank for my banking. The Maps app (Bing) built into Windows Phone lets you download maps for offline use, which is handy. I use OneNote and OneDrive for keeping my itinerary and such stored. Generally I don't use my phone when I'm overseas, it's not very useful unless I can get a hotspot.

Does anyone have a favourite travel packing app that will allow you to edit it so you can delete irrelevant items on the list?

Umm, 'cos I haven't heard of it. Any good?

WORLDMATE is absolutely fantastic, way better than Trip It. Email all your bookings and it populates with addresses, phone numbers map of hotel, highlights any days where no accommodation has been booked.

Other great navigation app that is better than a Tom Tom device is COPILOT - doesnt need internet, just used in France and it worked a treat

Just curious. I see many people use TripIt and no mentions of Worldmate. TripIt people...why do you prefer that over Worldmate?

Use to use Tripit but Worldmate is better. Accepts flights & hotels with less problems. Tripit is prettier to look at but Worldmate is more practical. Also, Worldmate provides faster updates on flight changes.

Thanks for the feedback :)

Besides those mentioned, Word Lens. To use in countries where English isn't the native language. Fire up the app, point your camera at the word and it'll translate for you. You do have to purchase additional dictionaries, but they do give them away free from time to time which is when I loaded up!

Great apps list.
I used to use FLight+ but it has gone by the wayside lately and no longer updates. will try MyFlights
Tripit
XE
Tripadvisor
GOOGLE translate - this is extremely useful now with speaking and being able to point the camera at signs and menus...
Easyjet - can now scan passport for automatic Advanced PAssenger details for non EU citizens)
skyscanner
Seat guru
TicketySplit (for splitting uk train tickets on the day - very handy)
And by far the most used is CityMapper which has many cities now. Almost everyone I know living in London uses this rather than google maps and it has also come in handy in other european cities as well as NYC

Also, apparently Nokia Here is very good for offline driving and walking maps
