Philippine Airlines Delays/Cancellations

On Wednesday 1 November, the overnight MNL - MEL PR209 (A333 RP-C8786) had only taken off about 10 minutes late (on Tuesday night) but this morning has overflown Sydney Airport, an odd route. Perhaps the flight crew were considering making an intermediate stop there. Arrival in MEL is expected at 0933, 63 minutes late. This will delay the returning PR210, scheduled at 1000 ex MEL.

RP-C8781 on PR209 (Tuesday 7 November 2110 hours MNL - MEL that took off at 2221) should arrive on Wednesday 8 at 1005, 95 minutes late. Strangely this flight tracked initially to Sydney, surely an indirect way to travel between Manila and Melbourne. This is the second recent time that this flight has been observed doing this.

UPDATE: The returning PR210 did not take off from MEL until 1220 hours. MNL arrival is estimated at 1800 hours, 150 minutes late.

PR212 (1150 hours Friday 17 November 2017 SYD up to MNL that took off at 1249 with A333 RP-C8784) should arrive at roughly 1749, 59 minutes tardy.

PR209 ex MNL should arrive in MEL on Friday 24 November at about 0925 hours, 55 minutes late with RP-C8786. This flight tracked from CNS down to TMW which does not appear to be the most direct route to MEL. It had taken off from MNL last night at 2134, only about 10 minutes late.

UPDATE: Returning (northbound) PR210 took off from MEL at 1108 with MNL arrival suggested as 1641, 71 minutes tardy.

On Thursday 11 January 2108, PR221 on the soon to be discontinued 0515 hours DRW - BNE (being replaced by a nonstop to BNE ex MNL with an Airbus A321neo I think) took off at 0553 so BNE arrival is suggested as 1026, 36 minutes late. Aircraft is A321 RP-C9917.

As PR209 was late into MEL this morning, PR210 (1015 hours MEL - MNL, RP-C8789) took off at 1122 with arrival suggested as 69 late at 1639 this afternoon.

On Sunday 25 March, PR209 was timely into MEL but RP-C8784 on the returning PR210 did not take off until 1046, so arrival should be 69 late at 1639 in MNL this afternoon.

Due to fog in MEL on the morning of Sunday 22 April 2018, PR209, due in at 0620 hours, diverted to SYD like a CX flight. This MNL - MEL PR flight (A333 RP-C8784) was in SYD as at 0825 so it will be at least 1030 by the looks until it gets down to MEL. PR210, the 0800 back to MNL will be hours late.

UPDATE: PR210 took off from MEL at 1151 with expected MNL arrival at 1746 hours, 186 minutes late.
