Passing of a Monarch

I thought KC was going to lose composure when they sang God Save the Queen. Some of the hymns reminded me of my childhood brought up in Anglican Church system.

We are now in the Carolean era. I’m happy with that 😉

Believe it or not I was in the church choir and as I was the first of the young lads whose voice broke I often had to sing solo. No one believes that would have been possible now.

I thought that was Sophie, Countess of Wessex on the RHS with Duchess of Dramatics alongside. Yes, body language priceless, not in the same league.
What about that tall fella from the Queens Household on RHS in front of Navy ratings pulling the carriage

I would love to watch this again in future where someone explains all the participants/roles/uniforms etc ie that senior beefeater in the abbey who directed the pall bearers

I felt sorry for Sophie as she’s been close to the Queen but look where she ended up.

The tall fella is known as Tall Paul.
The “bearer party” were soldiers from the Queen's Company, 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards.
I thought those soldiers were magnificent in the way they worked as a team to manage moving the coffin.

The people throwing flowers at the hearse must surely be giving the driver a bit of a scare. :(
Princess Di’s was covered in flowers. Had to put the wipers on!
