What's the general consensus about OOLs multi airline priority screening line? Do we consider it acceptable or poor form to use it with status on one airline, but flying with no status on another?

If everyone used it who wasnt entitled to it wouldn't be a priority queue anymore. I find it poor form if people are doing that

Change in signage for the priority lane recently has made it difficult to identify, resulting in more general travellers mistaking it for the general queue. The signage needs to be improved. Then it probably wouldn't matter if you had status with an airline you weren't flying on. But as it is now too many people are using it who don't have any status at all

have never seen it staffed - usually see tourists walking in by mistake, doubt anyone would care if you used it.

ive only seen long queues just before the D7 flight to KUL goes out - thats the time to avoid OOL!

Well I must admit to using it for JQ. I have also seen it policed in the past!

It also merges very badly with the general line ... And pisses people off in the general line as they then think you are pushing in. It is badly managed start to finish.

I am not there as often as you but whenever I am there only 2 screening lanes are used. People line up in the middle and only DYKWIAs use the priority lane on right to skip the queue.

I guess my main thought was, as they have a mixed priority line for all status flyers and I do hold frequent flyer status, I'm thinking it's acceptable to use that queue even when flying on an airline that I don't hold status. It doesn't remove the fact that I am a frequent flyer and the separate queue is there to assist genuine frequent flyers deal with the "burden" of frequent flying. I don't believe that by using that status line, I'm actually rorting anything but I just thought I'd seek opinion from others.

Until this thread I didn't realize there was a priority line. I've always thought of OOL as more of a regional(ish) airport with no real differentiation between regular travelers and frequent flyers.

Will take more notice next time through.
