So I've just managed to get myself and Mrs BD onto 2 x 280000 J awards via the QF Multi city tool.

I can select seats for all the BA flights but I have QR, AY, CX and IB legs that I can't do it with via QF.

Can I select if I go to the individual airline websites using QF's PNR?

If not then how?

A couple of them I don't really care about, just little A320s, but the CX leg in a 777 and likewise the QR in a 777 I would like to get right.

All help gratefully appreciated. Currently WP but will be P1 by the time these roll around if that makes a difference.

For those that use Amadeus your Qantas PNR (e.g. CX) should work on the respective operating carrier websites.

Looks like some nice flights, whats the routing/aircraft?
You managed to book all in one go online? If so, nice work!

Yeah, took a few goes but here it is

HKG - YYZ on CX 777
YYZ - HEL via LHR on BA. 350/320
HEL - LHR via Oslo, AY and BA 319/320
LHR - ZUR via MAD, BA and IB 320
ZUR - ATH via LHR, BA 320
ATH - HKG via DOH, QR. 320, 777 qsuites

We’ll fly to HKG return to position before and after under our own steam and likewise a side trip to Iceland to/from Helsinki.

When do you head off and will you be posting a trip report? Looks like a cracker of a trip, well done.

Have you had any luck with seats? As you suspect, and @serfty confirmed, you should be able to use QF pnr on each carriers website. I’ve done this for QR, CX, AY with no issue. Haven’t had cause for IB.

Heading off in October, I’ve had success so far with CX but not QR, IB or AY. I must admit I haven’t tried super hard yet but I’ve had a quick look around the respective airlines’ sites and should be OK.

Qatar’s site basically says “Ring us”

Trip report - maybe! Not the most conscientious diarist on Earth.

You never know. It’s likely to be my last major trip anywhere, I really am over planes and being away from home.

If you can't do it with CX online give the Australian number a call and they are quite happy to help you out.
