The smilies on the right of the post do not seem right. Surprised and razz appear multiple times and I am missing smilies like shocked, evil, crying, LOL. Any ideas anyone?
Perhaps they are the most popular smilies :p:eek:

After I reported the dilemma the smilies have assumed a random formation for subsequent posts, don't know which ones will be duplicated or which are missing and no guarantees that any of them appear on my post after I have used them.

And no I have not had anything to drink, nor is there anything wrong my eyesight.

My Avatar is not shoing up on IE; it does with FireFox. :(

I now have a new avatar :D . I copied your avatar, and resaved it in my graphics package. Now it works fine.

Please find the file attached

And yes, I will delete it from my avatar once you have added it to yous. I wouldn't be so mean ;)

Can't edit posts after 30 minutes

Don't like this at all!

The administrator has specified that you can only edit messages for 30 minutes after you have posted. This limit has expired, so you must contact the administrator to make alterations on your message.

e.g. I made a mistake in my June Schedule, don't wan't a new post; simply wish to change Sat. to Sun.. My bad, so why should I trouble Admin of that

FWIW, I have for the time being given up on Firefox and am using IE, it seems to work better; as a result my browsing enjoyment is decreased. :-(
Ross - have you tried IE7? I'm using Beta 2 and it is very solid. It has tabbed browsing. I used Firefox 0.9 (or something like that) and loved the tabs but found it just not compatible enough with a couple of banking sites. IE7 has not given me one bit of trouble with any site to date, and I love having tabbed browsing back.

You can find the system req's here.

I am using FF 1.0.7 with tabbed browsing and finding it just fine with the new AFF. However, I do have most of the common ad providers blocked by black-holing their domain names in my local hosts file. The only ad I see on AFF is the one at the top for FFF. Nothing else to slow me down with Flash ads. Works a treat.

I've been caught out by this already also.

I haven't been caught out by this as yet, but I am sure in time I will be. Must be some reason for the restriction.

If the reason is system resources I'll happily give up avatars in return for ability to edit.

Ok, I hear you

Have changed the settings. You can now edit your posts for 1 day. (If you edit a post within the 1st 5 minutes, it won't get an "edited by..." tag.)

Sorry about all these hiccups. It has been a fairly big change and we will be tweeking the settings over the next day or so to ensure that you have the best possible experience. The inconveniences are only minor, I hope!

Certainly only minor hiccups for me. Switch over has gone very well, especially given your limited resources.

Sorry if I come across as being demanding.

Likely if you asked 10 AFFers what functions/features they'd like, you'd get 15 different answers ;)

I have had no problems editing but the smilies keep appearing in random formation and when I do use them some do not appear on my post. :(

I hope it sorts itself out soon.

As with all major upgrades, there are things that don't go to plan. Overall, I think this one has gone very well, and of course minor niggles are to be expected.

I also thank you for your responsiveness in fixing some of these minor quibbles as we find them.

Cheers

All part of the design. Make it JohnK proof!! :D

Don't want to encourage overuse of smilies now do we!
