    Hi guys,

I need to change my QFF award booking date and route. To do this I need 10,000 points but I only 500 left in my account.

How can I obtain 10,000 points in the next couple of days?

Are there any websites where one can buy points? Does anyone have any other ideas to help?

    Thanks.

You can purchase QF FF pointd from the QF FF web site. Go to https://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/do/dyns/auth/topuppoints/topUpPointsForm
I would certainly expect you can purchase for your intended purpose.

Thanks, but I think the clause:
"Maximum 15% of the total points needed for your intended Award flight"

is catching me out. Because I only have 674 points in my account. When I try and enter say 2000 points in the box it says:

"The points needed for the award is more than is allowed to purchase"

If I enter 1000 points, it allows me to buy 500 points.

    Then you only choices are:
    • Fly 5 x SYD-MEL-SYD return trips
    • Spend $10,000 on a credit card
    • Find an eligible family member willing to transfer the points to you
Any other points earning method is lilkely to take more than a few days to get the points into your QF account.

I think I will ask around the office tomorrow and see if anybody wants to sell 10,000 of their QFF points otherwise I will have to give up :(

The credit card plan might work except that I only have a HSBC credit card and the reward system does not allow transfers to QFF.

    Thanks for the quick help.

Ring and explain the situation and see if they can sell you some. I imagine the worst that could happen is they say no.

I tried that 3 different times today with 3 different operators and all they could say was find a 'family member' who can transfer points.

Apparently distant family members are acceptable ... and she was suggesting something along the line that anybody who is human has some form of family member relationship ;)

Looks like a good chance for a mass email at work!

Do you have any hotel loyalty points that can be converted to QFF points?

If its as urgent as the OP suggests they probably wont transfer quick enough. Partner activity cant be relied on if the points are needed within a week.
