Credit Card Offers NAB Qantas Signature Visa card - $250 cashback and 100,000+30,000 Qantas points

Has anybody used Sniip for a payment and had any issues with it being counted against the minimum spend with NAB? Thinking it might be an easy way to hit my 5k.

Yep, I used Sniip to pay for my ATO tax bill on a Westpac CC - it counted towards the minimum spend criteria for a sign-up bonus.

I'd imagine there would be no issues for a NAB CC as well.

You'll just have to decide if it's worth the additional surcharges.

I'm planning on doing much the same so would be great to know if it works.
Success! Sniip to ato worked for NAB. Previously I did 10k via sniip to the ato for my Citi card so not surprised. Now to call them and complain that they messed up points - the split was meant to be 100 / 30, not 90 / 40.

Thanks for the update. I just checked and thankfully my annual fee was the correct $320 so fingers crossed I don't end up with the same issue with points.

Yeah, my fee was charged as $420 but they adjusted it by giving me a $100 credit, so I don't think I'll have issues getting them to adjust the points too.

Out of interest, when did you receive the 5K spend /bonus points notification?

~4 weeks after the statement date during which I'd hit the spend requirement.

Hmm.. I met my spend criteria earlier this month and my latest statement was issued around a week ago but it only awarded the 'regular spend' points - no sign up bonus.

I've already been on the phone with NAB asking where my sign up bonus is - guess I'll wait a few more weeks.

As I’ve said, it comes with the statement for the month AFTER meeting the spend.

And as I've said with all the cards I've held (including my NAB Qantas card 2+ years ago), the sign-up bonus was awarded ON THE STATEMENT you've met the spend criteria hence the query.

My Westpac card awarded the sign-up bonus on the very first statement as I met the spend criteria in the first month.

Things must have changed for NAB.

points posted yesterday, day after statement period ended. statement reflected bonus earn.

I have not held a personal NAB card in >2 years, however, I did just close a NAB Qantas Business Rewards card within last month. Am I eligible to sign up as an individual and receive the bonus points?

My turn to ask a question in here - has anybody received their $250 statement credit yet and if so, what was the timeline on that?

Important Information from the congratulations, your Qantas Points have landed email.

$250 cashback will be credited to your account within 120 days from account opening if the spend criteria is met. Purchases must be processed and charged to your account in the 90 day period from account opening to count towards the spend criteria.

Yeah I did see this, but was wondering if it's actually posted for anyone yet, or if we are all going to have to wait the full 120 days. I called them earlier this month for something unrelated, and when they asked me if I had any extra questions I did bring this up, their response was that they'd have to transfer me to a banking team so I just left it.

My 100k points should land towards the end of this month. Will post here if the $250 comes through around the same time.

(Premium card) I've received my sign-up bonus, around half a month after the statement in which I met the minimum spend criteria was issued - and this was only after escalating.

I'm yet to receive the cashback but I'm well aware that this is more sporadic compared to the sign-up bonus (same as ANZ) - it just randomly turns up at an unspecified timeframe compared to the sign-up bonus in which in my experience, is always usually awarded at statement.

I'll be keeping this specific card for the additional 40k points at anniversary.
