Hopefully an easy questions 
I have a MEL-SIN flight next year booked as Economy standard. When checking Upgrade with Miles it shows only PE is available, nothing in Business.
If I go ahead and redeem miles for the PE upgrade that is currently available. Will I afterwards also be able to lodge a waitlist for Business on that same flight? (I believe the waitlist may consider this as and Upgrade from an Award PE fare?).
I rang SQ customer service who said it's OK, but this contradicts what I've read on other online FF blogs.
