Triple Velocity points to/from OOL

Thanks Matt! I was about to book a multi city MEL-SYD-OOL but then checked the T&Cs to find that only one-way or return flights are eligible...

Just priced some random dates ex PER via MEL to OOL. Almost spilt my coffee! Over 1500 dollars each way in Biz. Priced it from MEL, much better but the status points are ridiculously low. Very cheap down the back but even with X3 points a handful of Status only. Unless you have a compelling reason to be on Gold Coast not worth the time or bother.

I ended up booking a direct flight last week for travel on Sunday (after noticing the fare had dropped due to an aircraft upgauge from 737-700 to 737-800) and triple points have posted tonight

I was cauhght out by this offer. I avtivated the offer and then booked a couple of return flights from SYD-OOL however the points have just landed and the triple ppoints are on on the base fare (points) . I couldn't figure out why I received 1810 points for the flight and 1811 for the bonus points. Pays to read the fine print.....

This promo is running again and I've activated it but not sure if targeted?

Triple nothing is still nothing.

Does nothing for me as an ex-Plat. Bain have done their dash as far as I'm concerned.

I can see double status or double pts. Thought promo referenced is triple? Oops.
Guess they don't want you visiting the Gold Coast ... The activated triple points offer shows up on my app

how does it work with eg. PER-OOL via SYD/MEL - is the flight eligible? if yes, the whole fare or do they somehow calculate it for the 2nd leg only?

I'd say you'd only get for the direct flight.

An Eligible Flight is a Domestic, Trans-Tasman or International Short Haul flight marketed and operated by Virgin Australia (with a VA flight number) to or from the Gold Coast for travel between 12.01am AEST 1 December 2026 and 11.59pm AEST 16 September 2027 inclusive (Travel Period)and booked and ticketed in a fare class that normally accrues Velocity Points.
