We next need to kit you up with some "worn in" steel capped boots (ie red dirt infested). Can't have you looking out of place in the Perth QP!

I've heard about Post and isn't that where a previous contestant of MasterChef or My Kitchen Rules went to work. I'm sure that it would work - I'm easy either way.

We are probably babysitting grandkids that weekend so I can't confirm one way or the other for a few days - sorry.

Have just spoken to @cove as I sit in BNE QC. On my way over this afternoon and happy to have light dinner and drinks - but I can’t book Post now. @JohnM can you book for 7 at 6pm - you'll be contacted by @cove hopefully

It seems that we will have the grandkids until fairly late today so I will have to catch up another time.

Cove has booked Post for six at 6.15pm tonight. I had to get the booking lady to move some less important folks to fit us in as it is heavily booked tonight. We should probably be located in the last table ......

Ok it is now for seven at 6.15 pm at Post and it will be a squeeze. It will be tight but should be ok..... like sitting on at A330 in economy. I now know someone who is doing just that....
Booking name is Noel.....

Sorry for the late notice but I'm not going to be able to make it tonight, my son is unwell and I think it's best that I stay at home.

Would you mind if I drop in for a drink? Family plans evolving.

Arrived and ensconced in the Hilton Exec Lounge to get rid of the dry throat from Economy and 6 hour flight (head wind and Perth storm had us slow down and circle). See you in 15

So @JohnM i was taken away from the relative safety of my usual red wines with the selection tonight and they worked well.
The degustation menu was interesting and the Uber driver really hammered along the freeway in a rain storm to get me home just before 10.30pm.That is the second time i have been a passenger in a racing car with an Uber so I gave him 5 stars.
It is always good to catch up and we are all planning some domestic travel on boats and planes seeing international flights are off.
Since our previous get together in Northbridge AMP shares have tanked and their life insurance coverage is in run off with a third party having bought that part of their business. How times have changed for that business.
I now know how to operate the SA Covid Safe app so that was good seeing I am going to Adelaide this week mostly for manufacturing and management meetings.
Yes we are all a couple of years older and looking ok from the lack of longhaul travel.

Was a great night, once I finally found the restaurant. Fantastic degustation menu and wines picked by @JohnM. My first white wine in quite a while. Tried to solve the problems of the world whilst being waited on by very patient staff. Last to leave the restaurant says something.
