Made Platinum today

Promised you I'd be there in a month. Q website still shows 60 SC's to go but having just done QF1800 & QF1837 (Full Y) I'm just waiting for it to tick over. Looking forward to the Salt and Pepper squid in July (if they still have it).

Showed Mrs 11sjw an article on the SYD F Lounge and she now understands why I have completed that same run about 15 times in the last 4-5 months (plus some PER-TSV thrown in) and is very much looking forward to trying it out.

... don't see why not; it's been on the "all day" menu AFAIK almost the entire time the lounges have been open.

Had it lots in the early days, but don't touch it any more, had an off experience and there are generally more interesting options available.

Congratulations. I find by far the best advantages are:-
1. Priority check in on all Oneworld Airlines at their Business/First Counter. Avoiding the queues.
2. Priority security lane with most world Airlines.
3. Extra baggage/weight allowances.
4. Operational Upgrades (free, when available QF, CX)
Safe travels & don't drink all the Champagne!!!

I have a chance of a tilt at platinum looming on the horizon too - can I check though:

have 380pts to reach that magical threshold before 28 Feb
Will get there, but that last 80pts will be on Malaysia Airlines (MH-coded, not QF codeshare) on 26 and 27th Feb.

Would still be ok? Will the fact that there is usually a delay of registering flights between carriers count against me to get all the SC before 28th?

Points are always backdated to date of earn, so as long as you are flying eligible fares and flights you will be fine and welcomed to the WP fold, domestic J lounges and the land of the F lounge
