Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Flying with VA MEL- Queenstown on Business. Any lounge access as I’ve been reading most VA lounges are domestic airpor ? It’s disappointing to learn there’s no international lounge access for J tickets leaving on VA metal

Don't believe so.

For guests travelling on an international Virgin Australia, we do not have lounges at any of our international departure ports*. We also do not have agreements with any third party operators.

Different if you were travelling VA codeshare on NZ metal or the new VA on QR long haul services.

I'll also ask a question.

Anyone know how strict NZ Syd is on kids for the late evening flights??

Sister (VA Plat) on VA6131/ QR909, the 2045 departure with hubby and two young kids.
By the letter answer is no (as kids 2+ count as guests) but assume this would be a quieter period for the lounge with all NZ flights out by 1820.

They should be fine in DOH for the QR Platinum South or Platinum & Gold North as kids under 12 don't count with QR lounges.
