Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

No unfortunately no access to QF F at SYD.
You can only access from a Short Haul / Domestic business class connecting to Long Haul First.
Both of these sectors are Long Haul defined as greater than 5 hours flight time.

You will have F lounge access at LHR as connecting to a SH flight.
Cathay Pacific has a more generous policy than the OW rules.

Cathay will honour the highest ticketed cabin on a single journey, regardless of the length of component sectors. Flying CX business class SIN-HKG connecting to premium economy HKG-LHR will grant business class lounge access in Hong kong.

Although I don’t actually know how this works at outstations where CX doesn’t have its own lounge.

From the QF website:
  • Domestic – can be used at any Qantas Club domestic lounge when departing on a Qantas or Jetstar flight number.
  • General – can be used at any Qantas Club domestic lounge, Qantas International Lounge or Qantas operated International Business Lounge (excluding Los Angeles Tom Bradley Terminal) when departing on a Qantas or Jetstar flight number
It's not as clear as that.
When they say "can be used at any Qantas Club domestic lounge" it's only part of the story.

On different pages you can find statements like

7.2 Qantas staff reserve the right to decline lounge access at any time, including but not limited to capacity or operational reasons.

and, for Jetstar flights,

  • The Cairns – The Qantas Club is not currently accepting Complimentary Lounge Invitations for JQ passengers.

In Terminal C, there is only the Plaza Premium. Terminal B has an Admirals Club and The Club, and Terminal A only has The Club. I think you should be able to access the Plaza Premium using your Plat Charge card. If you do, I'd be keen to know what you thought of it. Thanks!
I'm in the MCO Plaza Premium Lounge in the new Terminal C. Was admitted as a OneWorld Emerald status-holder. It is pretty decent for MCO, probably a QF Club level. Small, though. Small selection of food and a full bar. Since it's new, it feels light and airy with the large glass frontage.

In the Wellington International Qantas Business lounge now. It's quite nice -- not large, but windows to the apron and a restricted view of planes landing/taking off. Buffet includes a hot food selection, sushi and all the usual pastries, and self-serve drinks section. BTW, I just saw a British Airways A320 or similar take off. I thought BA didn't fly here -- and an A320 or 737? Seems so unlikely -- can anyone elucidate?

I just had a look through the flightradar24 playback and I can't see anything remotely similar to a BA A320. It's all just standard AirNZ A320s taking off.

Ah, Sushi week. Next week it will be sandwiches when I will be there! Not a great fan.

I can add as SG, our Iberia flights did not allow us lounge access as we booked through BA website, would have if we booked with Iberia @Beano
Something sounds amiss with that. OW sapphire should allow lounge access regardless of how or where you booked.
To be clear, travel on Iberia Airlines flights does allow for lounge access for oneworld Sapphire.

However, Iberia have an offshoot called Iberia Express (like Qantas have Jetstar) which while being a oneworld "Affiliate" does not allow Qantas Elites lounge access due to not being oneworld operated and marketed.

Thanks @serfty, it wasn't Iberia Express, but will certainly be more proactive next time.

Good to know… although the reviews of IB Express have been pretty dire… probably not on my agenda for the foreseeable future!

If I fly MEL-SYD in Qantas economy followed by SYD-CHC in Emirates business, on the same booking, can I access the domestic Qantas Business Lounge (or Qantas Club) in MEL? (I have no Qantas status).
