Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Hi. I have a Qantas rewards round the world flight booked for April/May next year with my wife and two kids aged 13 and 11 and am using Iberia from Paris to Rome and also Rome to Madrid-then Malaga. All economy. I am a platinum QFF and therefore Emerald One World. My question is whether I can bring my wife as guest and also my children into the lounge. My wife doesnt have One World status.

From the Iberia website I found it said this:
"Iberia Singular, Iberia Plus Oro, Iberia Plus Platino and Iberia Plus Infinita customers can use the VIP lounge with both a guest and their children (provided they are under 18 in the case of Iberia Singular and Iberia Plus Oro) when travelling on flights operated by Iberia, Iberia Express or Iberia Regional Air Nostrum."

It doesnt say this for one world emerald but was wondering if it does extend?

Anyone tested this out?

Cheers
Bruce

Could I please clarify my eligibility to use Qantas lounge (Melbourne domestic) with one guest if I have Qatar Gold status? I’ll be flying a Classic Rewards flight, and am a little confused about possibly needing oneworld flight number? Also I just have status on the Qatar app, my plastic never arrived. Are the lounges 24 hours? Is Qantas Club or Domestic Business better?
Thanks 🙏

Unless you are flying Business Class then you can only access the Qantas Club.
As OneWorld Sapphire you can bring a guest who must be on a OneWorld flight (not Jetstar etc).

Showing the card on your phone is fine.
The lounge is open from 1hour before first QF flight departure until the last QF departure of the day.

Thanks so much!
My guest will be flying Qantas and so will I.
Do we need to change the flight numbers to oneworld?

Also, if your FF # is linked to the booking, a printed boarding pass should show your status and would be sufficient to gain lounge access.

QF flight number is OW.

OK it’s the FF number I need to change? Or not necessary? We will both be exhausted from big day in Melbourne…

If you redeemed QF points for the flight, it’s probably easier to show your card at the lounge. Having said that, getting your OWS status on the booking ought to give you better seat selection.

If you used Avios for the redemption from QR, then your number and status should already be on the booking?

Hi all

Did a quick search but couldn't find anything concrete so hoping someone knows the answer!

Currently looking at a potential trip on QR from SIN-DOH (J) connecting to DOH-CAI (Y).

I believe we can have access to the new Gold/Platinum lounges based on Oneworld rules (arriving on a long-haul flight over 5 hours), but does QR allow access to Al Mourjan under the same rule? I'm not sure because Al Mourjan isn't strictly a Oneworld lounge given access is based on class of service.

Thanks!

I believe you will be directed to the Gold lounge. QR use their own rules for the Al Mourjan lounge as they don't consider it a OW lounge, so OW rules don't apply, such as arriving on a J flight over 5 hours.

Thanks, I suspected that sadly that may be the case. (Sorry, should have posted it in this thread to start with!)

Does anyone have recommendations for the best lounge in SIN out of the following:
T1 Marhaba Lounge
T1 Plaza Premium Lounge
T1 SATS Premier Lounge
T3 Marhaba Lounge
T3 Ambassador Transit Lounge
T3 SATS Premier Lounge

SIN has a several options but access can vary depending on a few factors.

What airline are you travelling with, what cabin class and what time?

Been about 5 years since I had these options but in T3 I'd say SATS>Ambassador=Marhaba. None of them were anything special though

IIRC T1 Plaza Premium is the lounge near the EK lounge. If that's the case, it has decent tarmac views.

FYI, CX pax in SYD now have access to The House. Most useful for the late night departure after QF lounges close.

I haven’t set foot in the QF J lounge for years so can’t comment on QF J v The House. The later used to be fine pre EY departures but might get crowded now?

I'm a QFF WP flying on JQ3, SYD-HNL (dep 17:30), with my partner (NB) on same flight. I was surprised to see that it seems we're eligible to access the International First lounge even though I'm on a cheap economy fare on Jetstar (JQ flight number). Is this correct - surely Qantas isn't quite that generous? Also, JQ3 has been frequently delayed up to 4 hours lately - I assume that I'd be kicked out if this lounge closes even if our flight hasn't boarded yet? Probably won't be an issue though, as it seems QF25 is scheduled for 21:35 that evening.

Is there any lounge available in HNL for the return flight? It seems not since there is no Qantas-operated lounge at the moment, but just checking.

Edit to add: I also have a Qantas American Express Ultimate Card, but I've never figured out if that gives access to any Amex-associated lounges or not, there are so many different types of Amexes I've been confused.

Yes, QFF on JQ gets QF lounge access. So good to go in SYD F lounge.

I’ll defer to others whether there’s anything in HNL (QF lounge is closed).

I could be wrong but my understanding is that in Honolulu you are directed to a partner lounge if you are otherwise eligible to enter the Qantas lounge. You're given an invitation at check-in.

Regarding Jetstar lounge access indeed at one time when Jetstar had domestic tag flights as part of an international flight you could buy the domestic sector only and access the international first lounge! Not sure if there are too many tag flights still in existence?
