Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

I thought that I understood the eligibility based on FF status although the Qantas website unhelpfully doesn't specify which lounges different levels of OW of EK FF schemes can access which lounges. I wonder if the page was meant to have more functionality than it has - possibly a link to details if you clicked on the green tick??

As you say I have nothing to lose by asking on the basis of my incoming EK flight (I'm betting they say no though)!
That lounge access page was recently "enhanced".
it is now uninformative, unhelpful and, as we just discovered, inaccurate.

This Sunday we are flying MEX - DFW - SYD - MEL. MEX - DFW on AA in Y and the remainder on QF8 in J. I'm QF LTG and my wife is QF LTS.

I've researched it all and am comfortable about our lounge options at DFW however just thought I'd ask the brains trust in case I am missing something. If flights are onetime we arrive into Terminal D at 3:19 pm and depart Terminal D at 7:45 pm.

Do any DFW regulars have thoughts on preferred lounges to use, incl the Amex lounge, which we do have access to?

Thanks in advance.

I've only been to the old Amex lounge in terminal D. Was nothing special and badly over crowded. The new AA flagship first lounge is in terminal D. Probably worth checking out. Not sure what lounge QF now use there. Again, it was alright. Terminal D isn't that big, so probably worth checking the AA lounge perhaps. If the showers are like the ones in the JFK AA flagship first lounge, then they are better than the ones QF has on offer.

@straitman Qantas now use the AA facilities at DFW. Don;t worry about the Amex lounges at DFW, by most reports they are overcrowded and have gone downhill.

All up, you'll have Admiral's Club access with guest at MEX, Flagship (& AC) access (as per @TomVexille) at DFW with guest and both of you have Business lounge access at SYD T3.

Dear FrequentFlyers,
I will be flying jetstar 3K from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh city, departure time = 7.10 am. Question (pls help): can i utilise the 12 early check in for 3K flight at Changi airport, get the boarding pass, enter the QF lounge for dinner, then get back to the city for a sleep before heading to the airport again in the morning for my flight? I will be flying to Singapore the evening before. I am a QF WP.
TIA

No, you need a same day boarding pass to enter the lounge.

Has the restriction on guests and single-use passes at the QF lounge in SIN been lifted since the F lounge opened?

If so, any advice on this scenario:

A friend is travelling JQ SIN-DRW tomorrow with his +1 and adult daughter. His QC membership will get two of them in and I’ve transferred a single use QP pass to his wife QFF account.

However, they tell me they’re having trouble linking it to the flight. Specifically that... “It asked for a “Departure lounge location” but it doesn’t recognise Singapore, Changi, SIN or any other combination we can think of. It recognised Hong Kong, London etc just not Singapore.”

Any suggestions?

Planning QF F SYD-HKG 0935-1550, CX Y HKG-NRT 0125+1-0630+1. Solo, QF SG.

Would I be entitled to use HKG CX F lounges during layover per the first leg on QF, or would I be resigned to the J lounges per QF status? Thanks in advance!

Under Oneworld connecting rules, long-haul connecting to short haul (under 5 hours) will grant you lounge access in the highest class. HGK-NRT is well under 5 hours, so you wil be good to go. Just show your inbound F boarding pass.

Just to confirm, separate PNRs (award + rev ticket) are still fine?

makes no difference :) The only exceptions I am aware of is that some airline staff travelling on airline industry discounted tickets are not permitted to use lounges, and some passengers using 'bid for upgrade' services may also have as a condition of their upgrade that lounge access is not permitted.

I’ll be in Kansai airport. Any suggestions on the best Oneworld lounge I can get into with Qantas gold status? I’m flying business too

Malaysia airlines from T1
