We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Must say I'd much prefer this to 6 hrs in the CNS QC - which is OK but nothing as good as some fresh air and a stroll in the sunshine.

Thanks for the tip I'll let them know the alternatives. Main considerations for them is somewhere to shower, rest and eat food early in the morning, and the QC lounge is conveniently right where they get off the plane.

I would appreciate info about lounge access by accompanied children particularly to OneWorld either from an official source you know or your experience. Qantas allows 2 children without counted as guests. it is an absolute no from Emirate. Most other airlines are silent on this issue.

It varies by Airline and within the ailine; partner airline access rules can be different from the rules for the same lounge if a member of that airline.

I believe BA don't count under 2yo as guests but over that age they do.

AA have thier own family-friendly policy but if using oneworld status for access then it's just the one guest.

Of course none of this is helped by agent/angels/dragons often overriding their airlines rules and allowing access. (Come back next month and be denied.)

Can I access the Hong Kong Qantas lounge using a Qantas Club pass (from a credit card) if I travel on a GK ticket? It is GK64 from HKG-KIX.

Thanks for the tip I'll let them know the alternatives. Main considerations for them is somewhere to shower, rest and eat food early in the morning, and the QC lounge is conveniently right where they get off the plane.

Understandable but the food there is nothing to write home about (though they do have a barista!). Personally, I'd probably look to shower and then head into Cairns itself. The issue may be the one-time QC pass: perhaps outline plans (and reasons) on entry and see whether the one-time covers a re-entry for the one-time.

I don't have a copy of a pass on hand so I can't refer to the terms and conditions.
It seems likely it could only be used when your next onward flight is on a Qantas Group airline or perhaps a Oneworld airline.
However that is an educated guess, based on an expectation of consistency.
As this thread demonstrates, lounge access rules are seldom consistent, and their enforcement even less so.
There really is no alternative but to either read the terms and conditions on the pass itself, or in your credit card documentation, or to call and ask.

GK isn't Oneworld though, so not relevant.

The pass generally say Jetstar flight. I'd suggest this comes down to opening hours more than anything but am open to being corrected.

The complicating factor being you are not flying on AZ or EY but another Partner airline.
I'd suspect that you'll be a test case and might be able to charm your way in.

I am travelling in Jan 17 in BA F EWR to LHR (789 - yay!) and wanted to know if I will have access to the Concorde Room in LHR on arrival as a transiting passenger (5 hours) before my flight to FRA in Club Europe. I have read somewhere the OW rules dictate lounge access based on the longer of the multi-flight journey, but I was hoping someone could verify for me please. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you will have access to the Concorde room during transit but not because of OW rules.

OW rules would allow you to access the First class lounge if arriving first and departing on a lower cabin. The Concorde room is not a OW lounge (but is reserved for BA F and top tier).

However, BA's own rules allow you to access the Concorde room as you are arriving F and connecting.

Good evening - does anyone know if you can access the QF First Lounge in Sydney when booked on Fiji Airways under the FJ code as a QF WP?

No you can't. Both times I've been on a QF flight number they've made a very big deal of that when entering the lounge. It was almost weird.

No luck unfortunately. The QF/FJ arrangements are a little complicated and they absolutely sick to the rules like supaglue (same at the NAN lounges)
