Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

So I’m flying QR909 in F on 3 July which is a Sunday night departing 9pm. From what I can gather, the final qf departure is at 7:45pm.

Does any one know what the lounge situation is for QR in syd atm?

When I flew SYD-DOH a few weeks ago, I called QR's Australian number a couple of weeks before departure (circa early May) to ask about the lounge situation. I was told by Gyanisha that the only lounge QR had open worldwide was Al Mourjan in DOH. No lounges in SYD or anywhere else. Of course, that was completely wrong (as well as the advice that check-in opened "6-7 hours before departure"). I was directed to the NZ lounge which was really, really good.

good to know - NZ lounge should be fine. How long before departure did checkin open?

Different question ... as far as I can ascertain, there are no Qantas lounges in SFO, only 2 partner lounges (Cathay Pacific and Air France-KLM). Can a complimentary Qantas lounge pass be used in either of these lounges?

Does anyone know if the following will be open on 28 July at HKG in CX The Pier Business Lounge (travelling J on CX, QF bronze):
1. Showers?
2. The “day spa” - and can you get a manicure here?

Alternative to 2, can you get a manicure anywhere else inside HKG airport…? best I can find on the airport website is that the oriental massage is “temporarily closed” - no doubt due to barely any pax going through HKG at present

According to the Oneworld website, the Pier J lounge is open. It has showers.

Don’t know about spa/manicure.

Hi all. I’m traveling to Noumea May 23 on Qantas and am wondering how to access the Brisbane international lounge before my flight?
Do they take complimentary passes?
I have Qatar Gold right now which would be ideal but looks like that will expire on 31/12. Do Qatar drop you to Silver?
Any suggestions gratefully received 😊

Have two flights on the same day with AA (both in business) as part of a Qantas Oneworld Classic Award. From JFK to MIA then on to BOG.

Was booked as two seperate flights, but all on the one PNR. 8 hour lay over in MIA.

Will I get lounge access in JFK and/or MIA? Will the class me as flying international as my end destination is BOG so that would mean lounge access?

Do you have any QFF status or other OneWorld non-AA status ?

Another one I need clarification on please....

Flying PER > KUL on MH in business class. I then am catching a revenue fare on Malindo air to HKT. I was thinking of purchasing a seperate cheap economy MH flight from KUL to somewhere within Malaysia in the hopes that would then allow me to use the loumnge at KUL as I am incoming on a long haul business class flight, and flying out on a short haul domestic flight.

Or would both flights have to be on the one ticket/PNR in order for me to have lounge access? Or could I show them my BP from the international flight I just came in on and the BP for the outgoing MH domestic economy flight?

I would plan to just be a no show for that MH flight from KUL. Or when I go to get my Malindo flight maybe tell them at the lounge I will be a no show? Any ramifications on doing that? The MH flight will be a seperate PNR of course.

Nope.

But hoping the fact that my end destination is another country that would qualify me?
It should but there are some exceptions to the “international” rule (eg trips originating in the US to Mexico).

Edit: but that seems to be limited to AA/AS members now. How long is the scheduled flight time MIA-BOG? > 5 hrs should get you lounge access.

MIA>BOG is less than 5 hours.

Reading up on the AA site I'm still confused somewhat. See attached screenshot, I have highlighted bit of interest in yellow. Im not sure if they would see me as going from JFK to MIA or going JFK to BOG (but with a stop in MIA). All on the same ticket (Oneworld classic award), but the flight segments were seperate.

It also says "non revenue passangers aren't eligible" Does that mean as this was booked with QF points that's me?

AA will see it as two sectors.

I might be wrong, but the non-revenue exclusion relates to AS flights only?
