Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Hmmm... I have only used access on arrival within the international terminal at KLIA. It's actually unlikely the access will extend beyond immigration to the MH Domestic lounge, based on the note in the FAQ I linked. Is is possible for you to travel HLO rather than check bags to KUL? That way you could arrive and enjoy access off the PER-KUL flight in the KLIA lounge/s, and then exit through immigration and transfer with enough time for check-in to the Malindo flight later. You could also theoretically do that with bags checked, but they will go into a holding area after doing a hundred loops on the luggage belt, and it might not be quick to retrieve them later.

Cheers,
Matt
Travelling for 15 weeks so definitely need checked luggage haha.

The Malindo flight will actually be an international, to HKT (to replace the MH cancelled flight, part of a OWCA). So after I collect my bags and check in for Malindo flight I will be able to go back into that same main international terminal as my Malindo flight will leave from there? And then should be able to show the lounge my arrival MH boarding pass and get lounge access (even if a couple hours after my MH flight arrival)?

Any thoughts on the best lounge at DFW? WP departing a QF flight from terminal D. I have access to OW, Priority Pass and the Amex lounge. I think QF use the AA F lounge. My suspicion is that will be the best option but after opinions.

Does the AA F lounge have a la carte dining for a WP in Y?
No Flagship dining unless on BA or AA F but agree with @justinbrett its a very decent lounge.

If you have time I’d also check out Centurion it closes at 1930 IIRC.

ahh yes, in that case and if you are coming back into KLIA international departures (as opposed to KLIA2), then it's likely* you'd be fine... just get out and re-check / clear immigration as quickly as you can, and once back in head to the MH Regional lounge (Main terminal building) or take the short train to the MH Satellite terminal lounge (bigger & better, and has the Platinum lounge that just re-opened as well, if you have OWE status).

I don't expect they'll look at more than the date of the arriving flight. Tell them you were shopping for a while, if they ask why so long between arrival and coming into the lounge! :)

Cheers,
Matt.

Not until December but after seeing this thread pop up thought I may as well ask it.

SIN-KUL-DXB

MH J connecting to EK F
QFF award booking on same PNR

Departs SIN at 19:30hrs

What do I have access to in SIN? Guessing it’s just the QF J lounge? I’m going to luck out with the F lounge right?

According to the general QF Int F lounge access, you’ll have access to the SIN QF F lounge on EK F ticket. Unless there’s an exclusion in the QF/EK agreement that someone else may point out (which would also knock out the QF J).
Worst case scenario is the EK lounge.

QF F lounge at SIN and you can bring a guest who’s traveling with you.

What is that based on? If the KUL-DXB flight was oneworld that would be within the same day transfer oneworld rule; but isn't QF famous for not applying this rule especially for an EK marketed and operated flight?

Certainly entitled to QF J based on flying MH J, but I was going to question access to QF F.

Click through to “access”. It’s a general page for various QF lounges.

The OW rule doesn’t apply to connections to EK, so not surprised if QF doesn’t apply it. There are specific rules for EK F/J. I thought it was QP members who got shafted travelling in whY if there’s no QF lounge.

There are exclusions to the QF/EK agreement also. This doesn’t appear to be one.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Yes I see that - where does it say connecting to subsequent flights counts?

Tickets don't have classes, flights do. You don't have an F ticket, you have a ticket with a J flight connecting to a F flight.
The flight from SIN is EK F = QF F lounge pre-departure.

The flight to SIN is MH J which becomes somewhat academic for which lounge I would be heading to in SIN.

I’ll be there on Thu and can confirm.

Think you need to re-read.

OP is flying SIN - KUL - DXB. EK flight departs KUL, not SIN.

Yep. My bad! Probably because I’m in SIN now and looking toward to my first ever QF F lounge visit - heuristic bias…?

Thanks all. I didn’t think I’d get F lounge so all good. Will try anyway when it rolls around though.

AA Flagship lounge is the best for sure. (It is not an F lounge. Flagship, open to SG and WP).

Dining is only for international J/F pax on AA metal, definitely not for Y and not for QF pax as far as I know (I think BA and JL have arrangements). But the food is pretty good, not quite QF Flounge good, but better than a QFi J lounge.

Thankfully now in J thanks to a last minute upgrade. I found the breakfast offering in the LAX AA F lounge a little disappointing. Plenty of options but not fresh/poor quality.

Good idea! I've not been to the new Centurion lounge at DFW. Only the old one.

Some on here prefer the LAX Flagship lounge to the QFlounge.

Maybe you got them on a bad day.

Does anyone know if I am eligible to enter FRA Welcome arrival lounge with a Lufthansa RTW Business ticket after flying in from Singapore on SQ metal but code share Lufthansa ticket?

I would have expected it is ok if an LH ticket & codeshare (generally works for lounge access), and the lounge is open at the time of your arrival, however it's not that clear on the LH site. I'd certainly be trying!

Cheers,
Matt.
