Apologies in advance if I should be posting this elsewhere but a similar thread to this from 2005 is locked and I cannot reply to that thread. I have a mixed class ticket from MEL - LAX on Cathay. As Cathay no longer fly F from Australia, my first flight CX134 from MEL to HKG is in J. I am then connecting to CX880 from HKG to LAX in F. I am wondering what lounge access I will have at my point of origin in Melbourne? Does the terminology in the oneworld lounge access rules, "connecting between oneworld marketed and operated flights" and "First and Business Class customers connecting on the same day of travel, or before 6am the following day, can access the lounge when travelling between an international long haul and an international short haul or domestic flight (and vice-versa)" preclude access to the First lounge in MEL? Please note that I am now only a Silver QFF member so will not have lounge access based on status. There seem to be different interpretations of this wording and I can't find a definitive answer..
