I have to admit that I did have the occasional drink at 0600 after processing a ship inwards our outwards at some silly o'clock time in the early morning.So that was Wharfie time.
The 6 O'clock swill was 6pm.Ahhh the 6 O'clock swill.. the good 'ol days.
Of course I didn't drink in those days, it took half a lifetime to get me into alcohol...
