Ok I am joining. Flying BA 870 to Budapest on the 6 June. I am quite familiar with these lounges, I even snuck into the BA First Dining on one occasion, the attendant didn't know to collect a pass, by the time the others realised they said I could just stay and keep ordering.

I arrive into STN on EK65 on 29 May and will be based at The Savoy for three nights, before making a bold and deliberate downgrade to the Pullman St Pancras for the remainder — purely in the name of balance.

I have a few side trips planned and will depart LHR on BA870 on 6 June.

Now, to the matter of emerging risk indicators.

Row 1 on BA870 is already fully occupied. Not partially. Not organically filled. Fully occupied — in a pattern that strongly suggests coordination, intent, and possibly matching polo shirts. The booking footprint has all the hallmarks of a highly synchronised leisure deployment unit.

I have taken the prudent step of alerting BA Security. No action is required at this stage, but we are now in the “monitoring the situation closely” phase.

I remain cautiously optimistic. Noise‑cancelling headphones have been packed. Expectations have been recalibrated.

Staying at the Pullman from 1/6 to 6/6 except going to Fort William on the Caledonian Sleeper 2/6 back 4/6 in the AM. So keeping the room to avoid relying on late/ early checkin check outs.
