Am looking at options as the booking windows open. Can get to LON a few days earlier; Being Finnair's home, HEL may be a better destination for a oneworld booking. Last flight on AY currently 6pm'ish ...

Seems there may be plans afoot to amalgamate oneworld lounges at T3 - this from a BA staffer on that thread back in February.

However, "The OX is slow, but the earth is patient" - likely not going to affect this social event.

Considering how quickly BA and LHR operate, I reckon we are safe.

What time will the meet-up at LHR be at approximately?
I planning to go PVG-HEL-LHR the night before on AY and can arrive on several different flights to London.

We generally start proceedings about 2-3pm.

But of course you are welcame to come and go whenever it suits you.

I started our bookings while on route to the 2025 lounge crawl. I have flights into LHR around 8-9 days before the crawl and out of CDG around a week after. I had planned for a solo trip however Mrs&MissM are tagging along, MissM may yet pull out. I have not yet booked the flights out of LHR on the day of the crawl but they will most likely be on the AY LHR-HEL.

Considering how quickly BA and LHR operate, I reckon we are safe.

There were also rumours this year that QF would pull out of NRT (QF80) prior to the crawl and that didn't happen. Nothing seems to happen faster other than posts about what may happen 12 month from now. In 35+ years of funding my (our travel) and 20 years prior travelling with or on my parents dime (child and young adult) one thing I have come to expect is nothing ever happens fast in the aviation industry.
