LAX First lounge chaos

Was in LAX first lounge 7-9.30pm Jan 16th - was busy but still a tremendous experience- great food and wine, great staff and no wait for showers. It was the best meal we had whilst in US. Actually liked that there were people using it unlike a deserted Melbourne F lounge on our flight over.

Im planning my first visit in early April. Which should be just before school holidays start. Have about 2-3 hours planned. Hopefully can get some good use out of it without too much chaos.
My real issue is getting 4x pax in since im the only WP.

It is kind of ridiculous that QF will tolerate children running amok in the lounges, but won't let adults in if they're wearing uggboots.

Pretty unlucky I'd say as I've never had an issue in either lounge. As others have said it seems deserted when ever I'm there.

Did yo consider walking down the 25 m or so and seeing if the business lounge was the same?
The last few times I've been there, around lunch time last Oct, it was quiet with only some JL and CX pax there. The times I've been there during the evening peak prior to the QF departures (early July for last 3 years), it hasn't been what I'd call busy. More people then the lunch time oneworld departures, but I've seen the QF SIN and SYD F lounges busier.

Haven't been in the LAX J lounge since the TBIT redevelopment finished.

Be prepared for half to be turned away..
What’s your plan to sneak them in?

No plan to sneak any one in. Thats probably not a great idea
If i cant find a way to get my mum and brother in then we will just have to split up.

The subject matter of this thread will be revisited when the full impact of Qantas transferring into Singapore hits. If you want to see chaos.

Those rules relate to certain Australian domestic lounges - Ugg boots at LAX are inherently fine.

The issue of kids running around unsupervised is not QF-specific....it seems parents just don't care anymore and will get away with what others around them will put up with.

I'm sure many of these parents see the QF lounge as a place where they can let the kids go nuts while they have a quiet drink!

I was in the LAX First Lounge the very night mhh was. Yes it was busy but so was the Business lounge and AA lounge (I viewed both). I got in a few hours before QF11 and was able to book a shower until much closer to my departure time, booking it a soon as I entered and was able to get a dining table. I could see if I had got in much closer to my departure time I wouldn't've had as pleasant experience as I had.

It depends who you are travelling with. We have 2 platinum memberships and 5 of us were allowed in.(our children are 18, 17 and 13). Maybe because 2 of our children are less than 18 they allowed an extra guest?

I would have thought that 2 Platinums would allow 2 guest and the 13yr old gets in for free as they are a minor?
