LATAM Airlines Delays/Cancellations

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

Monday 29 February's LA800 from SYD to AKL and on to SCL is forecast to leave at 1220, 50 minutes late and to arrive SCL an hour behind at 1455. The incoming LA801 is not expected to arrive SYD on Monday until 1005, similarly 50 minutes late.

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

While LA800 departed SYD on Monday 1 March 2016 at 1202 (32 minutes late), arriving AKL at 1710 this afternoon (25 late), it then departed the NZ Harbour City 29 minutes late but will not arrive SCL until a suggested 1510, 75 behind time.

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

Lan has been quite good with its timekeeping in recent weeks but the Easter Saturday (26 March) LA801 departed SCL three hours and 32 minutes late at the unholy hour of 0337, so after the usual stop in AKL is estimated to be three hours and 20 minutes behind arriving in SYD at 1225 today, Easter Sunday (27 March.)

The return LA800 is suggested as departing SYD at 1415 today, also three hours and 20 minutes (or 200 minutes) late, with eventual SCL arrival predicted as 1650 hours, three and a half hours late.

UPDATE: LA800 departed at 1429 on 27 March.

While the Sunday 27 March LA801 only departed 55 minutes late from SCL at 0105, its arrival into AKL is not expected until 90 minutes late at 0650 hours. Departure will then be significantly delayed until Monday at 1225 (due to crew rest requirements?) for a predicted arrival in SYD on 28 March at 1410, five hours and five minutes late. In turn, LA800 on Monday 28 should depart from SYD at 1610 hours with eventual same day SCL arrival at 1835, five and a quarter hours late after the intermediate stop in AKL.

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

On Tuesday 29 March, LA800, the 1055 hours from SYD to AKL and on to SCL did not depart until 1426. This continues LAN's run of tardiness.

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

LA800 (which presumably always has many QF-booked passengers on it as QF321 codeshare) is again delayed today (Thursday 31 March) with SYD departure expected at 1325 hours, two and a half hours late. SCL arrival is predicted as 1550 hours, the same amount late after the intermediate AKL stop. The inbound SCL - AKL - SYD departing SCL on Wednesday 30 March was only two minutes late at 0512 into AKL but then did not depart the NZ Harbour City until 0958 with expected SYD arrival at 1105 to be exactly two hours late. The AKL delay may be as a result of previous late running and consequent requirement for the 'slip' in AKL to have a minimum number of hours.

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

While the Saturday 9 April LA801 arrival in SYD is already in - at the gate at 0915, only 10 minutes late - its departure back to AKL and SCL as LA800 is delayed by 55 minutes to a predicted 1150. Since yesterday's arrival in SYD was just 22 minutes late, there is no standout reason for the tardiness.

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

LA800 on Friday 29 April 2016 is forecast to depart SYD 70 minutes late at 1205 for AKL and SCL.

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

On Saturday 21 May, LA800 from SYD is estimated to depart at 1240 instead of its normal 1055 for AKL and SCL.

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

The Wednesday 23 May 2016 leg of LA800 from AKL to SCL is estimated to depart at 2100 hours, three hours late with identical unpunctuality being maintained to SCL where arrival should be same day at 1620 hours. This is despite today's same numbered flight having pulled in to AKL 14 minutes early at 1556, ex SYD.

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

Monday 4 July 2016 sees LA800, the 1100 SYD - AKL tag flight that proceeds onwards to SCL altered to depart two and a half hours late at 1330 this afternoon.

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

Have LAN's Russian Roulette experience next week - connecting from QF123 onto QF321/LA800

Maybe a long day in the lounge?

BTW, when is this thread getting changed to "LATAM" ?

...when is this thread getting changed to "LATAM" ?

juddles, my apologies, I don't know how to do that.

On Tuesday 5 July, LA800 departed SYD two hours and three minutes late at 1303, arriving AKL 91 minutes late at 1751. Departure is expected at 1955, 105 minutes late for an SCL arrival at 1515, also 105 late.

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

LATAM's LA800, the short flight that turns into a long one, departed from SYD at 1257 on Wednesday 13 July (instead of 1100) with AKL arrival suggested as 1745 instead of 1620. The 1810 hours longer leg from AKL to SCL will be delayed, but has yet to be updated on the QF website.

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

On saturday 16 July, LA800 is suggested as departing SYD at 1135 rather than the timetabled 1100.

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

On Sunday 17 July, LA800 should depart half an hour late at 1130.

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

On Sunday 31 July LA800 from SYD to AKL, the 1100 hours, has been cancelled.

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

My son and gf were on the SCL to AKL, 29 July departure that got cancelled.
They are scheduled to leave SCL later today...

Cheers

That is a long wait BF: 48 hours. Which if any hotel were they put up at the airline's expense? Meals included?

Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion

On Sunday 14 August, LA800, the 1100 SYD - AKL - SCL will instead depart at 1345. Although the Friday 12 LA801 ex SCL arrived AKL 14 minutes early, it departed 181 minutes late this morning meaning a suggested SYD arrival at 1155 rather than 0910 hours, explaining the delay that will occur eastbound.
