Re: General LAN Delays/Cancellations/etc. Discussion
Lan has been quite good with its timekeeping in recent weeks but the Easter Saturday (26 March) LA801 departed SCL three hours and 32 minutes late at the unholy hour of 0337, so after the usual stop in AKL is estimated to be three hours and 20 minutes behind arriving in SYD at 1225 today, Easter Sunday (27 March.)
The return LA800 is suggested as departing SYD at 1415 today, also three hours and 20 minutes (or 200 minutes) late, with eventual SCL arrival predicted as 1650 hours, three and a half hours late.
UPDATE: LA800 departed at 1429 on 27 March.
While the Sunday 27 March LA801 only departed 55 minutes late from SCL at 0105, its arrival into AKL is not expected until 90 minutes late at 0650 hours. Departure will then be significantly delayed until Monday at 1225 (due to crew rest requirements?) for a predicted arrival in SYD on 28 March at 1410, five hours and five minutes late. In turn, LA800 on Monday 28 should depart from SYD at 1610 hours with eventual same day SCL arrival at 1835, five and a quarter hours late after the intermediate stop in AKL.
