Isnt it a bit harsh to have closed guesses already? Its less than 24 hours since you started the thread.

You have over 100 posts in the last 24 hours. You almost did not have a 1,000th post thread as you were well over 900 when I started this one. You are now only 31 posts away from 1,000 posts and at your rate of posting you should be there very shortly.

If you want to change the theme of thread to Kiwi Flyer's 1,500th post?? or even better Kiwi FLyer's 2,000th post?? then I will gladly re-open guessing.

I don't think that anyone would have predicted yesterdays posting frenzy when the thread was started. Given yesterdays posting numbers, I suspect that Johnk didn't really have any choice but to close of the guesses.

Definietly unfortunate, but sometimes the best laid plans.....

Quite right. Yesterday's frenzy threw that plan out the window.

My thread took less than 4 days and it looks like Kiwi Flyer's thread would last between 1-2 days. NM's 2,000th thread starting early would get full value out of it.

Just as a comparison Lindsay went from 875 posts to 1,000 posts in 26 days. Kiwi Flyer went from 875 to 969 in 1 day. :shock: It took me around 6 days to go from 875 to 1,000 which is way too quick.

Sorry Kiwi Flyer but to be fair to all the contestants we had to close the guesses when you got to 950 posts.

Nah it will be ages away. Trip reports take up quite a bit and I have none coming up. Also now that the pros are back I think I will be answering less questions.

Tomorrow. :? Is that thursday or friday? It is now thursday and it is today and tomorrow is friday but if if you were in Singapore or Thailand or Hong Kong it would still be yesterday and tomorrow would be thursday. :?
