HK to Frankfurt and back to HK on Lufthansa

My question here is: what would be hte best frequent flyer to join to redeem points in OZ.
I understand with KF u need minimum of 30,000 points from OZ and they dont allow to redeem points for domestic flights or to NZ

Thanks u

Can reedem *A awards for NZ flights AUS-NZ must be round trip.
No domestic redemption though.
KF has 15% disc. for SQ flight redemptions booked online;
A Sq redemtion saver 1way PER-SIN works out to 17000 miles.
ADL,SYD,MEL,BNE is 23,750 with online discount.
To completely throw you out, you could apply for the westpac KrisFlyer Platinum credit card with 15,000 bonus miles sign up; sit on it for one year then reedem the 50% off economy redemption voucher (maximum 20000 miles) - a waste of time though imho:(.

Occasional promotions may help but apart from that; others may trumpet benifits of redemtptions / ff programs for other airlines.

This changed late last year can now do one way awards AUS-NZ/SW Pacific. THe points required is 12,500 pts in economy (half of a return award).

Not wanting to rain on the OP's parade, but some of the discounted economy fares only earn 50% miles on SQ (ie S, U, W & L class). That's only 5,700 miles, no good for anything really unless it can be topped up with credit card earning.

I'm assuming that SQ redemption for PER-SIN is whY? can you get J saver? What would the taxes on it be?

Obviously, this is something I'm looking at... for on/around September 12 :)

One way, don't need a return.

A one-way J saver would cost 27,625 points (after the 15% online booking discount) plus $193.74 taxes and charges. Availability:
September 10, departing 07:40,
September 11, departing 01:10 or 07:40
September 12, departing 01:10
September 14, departing 01:10

Waitlisting is possible for other flights.

Seems a bit more attractive than 50,000 QF points!

Get paid up to 25% in real cash from your everyday purchases from leading companies such as Virgin Australia, Booking.com, Woolworths, Coles, Apple, Microsoft and much more. Free to join and no catches!

Have decided I'll most likely end up doing PER-SIN-AMS or PER-SIN-IST, so a touch over 55,000 points and around $320 in +++ if I can nab a J saver all the way (need to wait list the SIN-XXX leg).

A J saver seat is available on SIN-CPH on the 16th if you don't want to waitlist.
