Well folks, the results are in for the electorate of Kingsford Smith. Despite my promises to make Australia fly again (MAFA), I, KangarooFlyer88, have been unsuccessful in securing enough votes to gain a seat in Parliament. As leader of the OneWorld party, I must acknowledge the resounding thumping myself and colleagues had at the polls this election season. Reflecting on the campaign, and the OneWorld ticket we flew on, clearly mistakes were made and there were lessons to be learned here. For instance, it was not a good idea hosting a photo op at Sydney airport with Alan Joyce handing myself a welcome kit to the Chairman's Lounge. Clearly, there was a need for more inclusivity in our campaign, and I look forward to inviting Theo Panagiotoulias, CEO of Star Alliance and Patrick Roux, CEO of SkyTeam to our future events. With that being said, we remain to our policies which have remained consistent over time, such as inviting constituents into the lounges we have access to when flying on the public dime.

Remember, it's only a rort if you're not involved.

It was rigged, and I have proof - I voted for you just over 20 million times, meaning that there’s no way (given the voting-age population of Australia) you couldn’t have rightfully and righteously won!!

I should also make it clear that all the speculation and rumours of the OneWorld party merging with Pauline Hanson's One Nation Party are patently false. The names may sound similar but they are a world apart. We are for abolishing border control so that anyone who is eligible to access Qantas First lounges can access Qantas First lounges regardless of itinerary. For those people who disagree, maybe you should go back to your seat in coach!

Similarly, any suggestion that our members may join the Jacqui Lambie Network are simply untrue and frankly beyond the pale. We will never associate ourselves with any politician regardless of race or creed that has had their Chairman's Lounge membership rescinded or have been banned from lounges of any airline. Such actions are quite frankly unpatriotic. I should also highlight a key policy difference between the Jacquie Lambie Network and our party. Namely, we have been fighting for a very long time on lounge reform, particularly in Tasmania. The good people of Tasmania do not deserve to sit in lounges which quite frankly are third world (and even then some of those third world lounges at least have nice views). I have yet to see Jacqui Lambie or any other member of her party fighting for this important issue. Another such issue we are fighting for concern the Qantas lounge in Launceston. It's time we make that lounge be airside and not landside.

To voters, next time let's bring it home!
