Jetstar launches Various Routes for CNS/CHC/MCY/AKL/DUD/HZL/SYD/OOL

I don't understand the afternoon departure/late night arrival of both JQ and VA, it's a waste of a day for the passengers.
Aircraft utilisation mainly. And for JQ it opens up quite a few connections to their NZ routes.

I’d imagine some of the NZ increases is due to negotiating new deals with some NZ airports who are upping fees considerably, likely part of a wider deal.

Probably. Also the Jetstar Asia redeployment helping with aircraft capacity.

Looks like some routes are coming off the overnights and onto day flights, ie CNS-CHC, and CNS-PER is another I can see,

I recall Jetstar need to overnight Pilots on any red eye, so this will obviously improve productivity.

JQ have pilot bases at CHC, CNS and PER, they can just go home!

Looks like CNS-DPS has switched back to the A320. Interesting they upped it to the 321 when AirAsia launched, now dropped back since they left.

Clearly the intention was to push them out.

QZ was also partially subsidised via the AAIF, which was considered somewhat controversial on Social Media as that didn't help with the (lack of) inbound Indonesian Tourism to NQld, but more to 'subsidise' holidaymakers (Bogans) going to Bali than help NQld with inbound Tourism.
