"Island Dining" in the Domestic J lounges: Tips, Timing & Menus

Red Roo, could Domenico's clone work on the weekends? I miss our regular chats when I fly out on Sunday.

Domenico's service is impeccable - it's as good or better than the staff in the F lounge in SYD. Could you please pass on my feedback on to his manager.

Already done. However I'll update the feedback with your additional request. :)

You'd quickly change your mind after 3 or 4 weeks. Variety is the key word. Variety.

Fair 'nuf. But then I'm not in the DOM lounge at the ID times much at all and only occasionally the Koru lounge at INTL (AC flights) and at those times I let my usually suppressed craving for a 'dog come out.

I don't mind the hot dogs.

I also don't mind pies. The party variety not the gourmet stuff they were replaced with.

Beats the Tunisian and Moroccan dishes on offer recently.

Did I say I mind the hot dogs? No, not on occasion, with variety. But I do mind when hot dogs are served up week after week after week.

Tunisian and Moroccan actually sounds rather good as a bit of variety. Where are these being served?

the laksa is great at the moment, but very hard to get a seat in Brisbane and they don't walk around with anything at all to other people

I'll be making (my first) two trips to the Syd Jlounge but I'll be there around lunch time. Is the Island dining only at dinner time?
Also damn the prevalence of egg in just about every tasty looking food (allergic).

No island dining at the BNE J lounge today, he says sitting at the island with a wistfully forlorn look on his face. :-|

I think Island dining is just breakfast (muesli) and dinner (6PM)

I have seen muesli with yogurt a fair amount.

I had the prosciutto and mozzarella salad last night - very nice.

Don't judge a book by its cover. Taste is much more important than looks. Then again why key the facts get in the way.
I have just had 13 chicken wings and a drumstick in BNE business lounge.

Not sure if Island dining is on but I am going to get another 7 chicken wings. The drumstick was a mistake....

Did the time for island breakfast in MEL changed? I arrived last Tuesday at 7.45 and all the menus were already gone.
