Have decide to abort the mission of taking the Scoot run today OOL/SIN.
After reading through the threads... But the colour scheme inside & out really has put me off... Not too mention the extra charges... Just don't have a extra SGD 300 in cash for the extras on hand today .. & the sight of 7.5 hours enduring the cabin ambience & the uniforms & perms is just too much.. :rolleyes:

I'll give it another shot as soon as I source some darker anti yellow sunglasses...:mrgreen:

I saw the aircraft @ OOL... My gosh... Big Bird or Spongebob should be the mascot.. Matching outfits :p

Anyway it's origin night...

I just did a dummy booking on Scoot with Seat+Bag+Eat, pillow/blanket, bulkhead seat, inflight entertainment return and no points/lounge access then tried the same dates on QF.
Scoot is only $90 each way less with all the extras than Qantas, why would you put up with getting squashed on a plane with budget service for a saving of $90 each way..

I'll still be flying Qantas/SQ thank you very much!

Probably depends on what days you go, same deal for me without the blanket each way but with everything else is $481 return,that is big enough difference to tempt a few!

You omitted the:
Compulsory seat belt charge: $10

Also you cannot forget the $8 air-vent charge. If you don't pay they block off the air-vent above your head resulting in a hot flight.
 
I was on a classic LCC Tiger Airways flight CRK/SIN sometime ago. The FA actually scolded the passenger for consuming her own food on the flight. It was noted as a reference to the menu card that consumption of BYO food was not permitted... :oops:
 
Too many ideas folks... Stop it, no doubt there is a middle exec in an LLC somwhere looking at this thread thinking, heck, didnt even consider an air vent charge :)

Have 4 days off next week so thinking my partner and I will give Scoot a shot and have a few days in Singapore. Will post a trip review if we end up going Scoot.
 
Also have to abort a Scoot Trip after a work contract got extended for a bit. Total loss is under $400 so not a big issue....

My invoice is includes
Fares ($80 and $90 each)
Fees and taxes ($120)
Seat request ($120)

Booked as an Economy - Sale fare with BagEat and Bag extensions.

Views on whether I will get Taxes back - am pretty sure I lose the fare and seat request.

More seriously, if you're frightened by the gumboot yellow, you'd probably never even set foot on a FR aircraft - ever. (Hopefully my latest TR will show some photos, just to scare you all! :D)

Legally you should get the taxes back I believe, how long it will take is another story .......

(EG Air Asia X takes 3 months to apply taxes refund to the credit card after you email an obcure email address found only on internet forums)
