Total 69,000 points.

Like serfty I have a couple of previous stays that have not posted correctly yet. (I chased up some Hilton ones today)

So what constitutes a "brand" for the purpose of staying at different brands? For example are all Holiday Inns the same brand? Of is Holiday Inn different brand to Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn Resort, Holiday Inn Club Vacations?

About InterContinental Hotels Group Brands | IHG seems to advertise them as different brands, but I wonder how these bonus points promotions see them?

Of all the HI brands, only a HIX is separate for this promo.

I think I have it worked out. Here is the plan

- 4 nights Holiday Inn Chiang Mai (Also spend USD56 on food)
- 1 night Crowne Plaza, Surfers Paradise ($169)
- 1 night Crowne Plaza Norwest ($153)
- 1 night Intercontinental, Sanctuary Cove Resort ($199)

That should cover 7 nights, 3 brands, food, 3 bookings, 2 city hotels and 1 resort.

Do those Gold Coast hotels get any cheaper on a Friday/Saturday night? Or even Sunday night?

Often dearer on Sat night. CP Surfers have a PP deal at the moment for $110/night. Just booked it (2 double bedder) over the school holidays so my resolution is:
Fri 20/9 - HSP ($148)
Sat/Sun 21-22/9 - ICSC ($200/nite BOGO club suite)
Mon 23/9 - CPSP ($110)
Tues/Wed - ICSC ($200/nite BOGO club suite)

Achieved 5 nights out of 6, 2 on-line bookings (3 actually), resort stay and 2 brands. Also give one more HH stay toward diamond requal and given the kids a holiday as well. Combined with a ICSYD stay in Dec and I'm there I think!

Unfortunately dont have Priority Privilege.

Got a couple of spare weekends in Nomember with those rates. Spend the weekend playing a couple of games of golf, hire a car in Brisbane and drop at OOL and then hire another car in OOL to drop off in BNE.

Need to make sure I avoid silly week.

My survey link simply says "coming soon".

Is everyone seeing this?

'Wait 4 - 6 weeks' for BIG WIN points to post ?

Nah ...

Got my first 1,000 through yesterday. Checked out of HI Potts Point on 5th. Sept.

( and a few 'big deal' type emails to go with it !! ... like, you would think a 1,000 points was going to get you to London !! )

You mean it won't?

OK I'd better ask, but I've booked my required two on-line stays, but no hint of it crediting. Now it was only done a week ago, so I'm not panicing but my on-line bookings were via the PP newsletter, which appears to link to the respective IHG site and adds a rate code. Would everyone agree these are Win Big qualified bookings?

It should be fine, I have a PP newsletter stay from Monday that should credit soon and will confirm it.

Your resort stay doesn't have a 3 night requirement?

Your resort stay doesn't have a 3 night requirement?

Thanks for the tip. It does require 3 nights. I'd best go and make some stay rearrangements to suit. By the look of the T&Cs, 2 consecutive BOGO bookings would equate to 1 x four night stay. Would everyone agree?

Actually, I'm really appreciative of this comment as I thought I'd covered all bases. In fact I hadn't read all the T&Cs as they appeared the same. By the look of it, it's only the resort stay which requires three nights rather than the normal defined stay meaning one or more consecutive nights.

It's worked out well though, the rates have dropped substantially from when I booked :D (ICSC is now available from $104.50/nite and my chosen club marina view is now $179.50 down from $199.50 ie an $80 saving which can go toward our US$140 worth of eating!)
