The list of hotels is poor and most times cannot book the discounted rate online. Call to book the discounted rate and now doing the rounds of the call centre.
Spent around 30-40 minutes on 2 phone calls today doing the rounds of the call centre(s). Both times they hung up on me.

Apalling customer service.

JohnK, did they hang up on you? Or did you get interrupted mid conversation with the recorded message inviting you to "complete the survey at the end of the call", and then disconnection? That happened to me 3 times.

I'm happy with all the IHG hotels I've stayed at, but trying to talk to 'memberships', has been awful

It felt like they hung up on me but I did get that recorded message. No one wanted to take ownership with my issue.

I sent 2 emails instead.

I wonder if they flick a switch to the recorded message if the enquiry is too difficult to deal with? ☺️

Hi, can anyone confirm if the IC Adelaide is a participating hotel in the new program, as on the dinning rewards site it only list the CP Adelaide, but I note the IC is shown in dinning special offers. So am a bit confused. Cheers

Yes they participate and are promoting the scheme in their restaurant.

ughh i hate the wording of these dining promotions ...can someone clarify in addition to the 'promotion' i.e. the complimentary bottle of wine; the dessert; the welcome drink etc. do you also still qualify for the actual 25% discount (the reason the card was created) or do you forfeit this discount by taking up the 'promotion'?

Example - If I met the terms would i get the complimentary bottle of wine and 25% off my food/drinks bill?

Hey why don't you call and find out the small print of this offer, may save an embarrassing situation

Wondering though generally ...all the offers are worded this way.

At HI Parramatta one time they would interpret the offer as 'excluding' the 25 discount other times they would give you the 'promotion' plus the 25% discount.

It feels silly asking every time when you order ...

Just call the resesturant ahead of time...they don't know who's on the phone. At least then you know how the offers work. Good luck

Possibly. I found their customer service shocking. Still not reply to my emails.

When you land on the 'participating' page they are the first one:
When you click on the participating hotels for the 10% discount you will find Holiday Inn Batam is there. They don't want to honour the 10% discount though.

Hi All, wanted to chip in a couple of notes on the sign up experience I just had with Dining Rewards. Apologies if some of this is redundant or listed elsewhere in this thread or forum, but thought it may assist.

On registrations:
I found that I could not register online (at the cheaper 255 USD price), as when I clicked submit, the button greyed out but then did not submit the form. Frustrated, I called the 1800 number to register, and was given (without asking) the discounted price of $279 AUD - I thought the promotion for the cheaper price ended at end of December. If you're on the fence of joining, you may wish to call now and save $40!

On Availability of Free Nights using the e-certificate: The online chat / reservations team are able to confirm whether or not free nights are available before you sign up for dining rewards. This is great for those (like me) who are using an expensive night at an IC hotel to justify the cost of the program. The reservations agents claim that availability of free nights and regular award nights are different, though my searches after joining suggest they are the same (once registered, free nights can be booked online).

On time before your status upgrade: I was instantly flicked from Gold to Platinum on receiving my credit card receipt. However, the lady on the phone advised that I could take a copy of my registration confirmation email to receive discounts before my card arrived.

On duration of membership: I registered today, 5th of Jan, yet my IHG account says that my Dining Rewards expiry is Feb-2016. Whether this is at the start or end of Feb, I seem to be getting at least 27 days of free membership-upgrade and other benefits - so kudos to IHG for their generosity here.

Hi. Hope someone can help, have a stay coming up this weekend, still no Dining Rewards card. Activated on 27/11/14 does it normally take that long?

Lady on the phone yesterday indicated four weeks but as mentioned above, she also suggested that you could take a copy of your sign up email to receive benefits. I didn't ask further as it's not of interest to me but i'd suggest calling their Australian support number - 1800 226 462 - between 9 and 6 EST and verify if that's the case.

Thanks exceladdict I'll take you're advice

Didn't have my card on a recent trip to Perth as only signed up the week before. I had the confirmation email in my phone but bar staff only needed my IHG number and could tell I was a dining rewards member.

Thank you I think I'll stop stressing over the plastic now. Good news
