Thinking about it, it seems to me that countries visited is only part of the story, particularly when talking about large and geographically spread out countries, such as the USA, Russia and Indonesia.

If for example, one says that one has visited the USA, it could have been a half day layover in LA, or it might have been hundreds of lengthy trips right across the country.

Thus, for what it's worth, I'll start the ball rolling with States visited in the USA. In my case, the only states I have not visited (at the very least driven through) are as follows:

Arkansas
Iowa
Kansas
Michigan
Missouri
Nebraska
North Carolina
North Dakota
Oklahoma
South Carolina
South Dakota
Vermont

As you can see, I tend not to visit many of those square states in the middle (why would you?).

JohnK included transits in post 1. Ireland for a day counts.

Travel plans for 2008/2009 include a few more including Finland, Libya, Austria, Singapore, Indonesia, UAE and Oman. A contiki tour will knock off another 14 as it passes through 18 in all. :D Definitely early days here!

I think HVR and I take out the wooden spoon. :mrgreen:
