What cheeses me off

There is no tap or mixer you can adjust, its a sensor put hands under tap water flows.

Ive not been able to tolerate leaving hands in freezing cold stream of water longer than 30 secs. But as the ladies services both staff and clients on site for events there is pretty much a constant flow of women using the sinks so fact its always freezing even when you have to wait for a sink makes me think its cold only.

Maybe i will lodge a maintenance incident and see what they say.

On the plus side plenty of paper towels and not a hand air dryer in sight.

I have seen a relatively recent refurb with that sort of setup - cold water only into the bathrooms, but there is a rather pathetic heating set up, I think possibly for each tap, that takes forever to deliver something moderately warm. If there is a constant stream of people who don't wait for it to kick in properly, it just stays cold.

Down side to that refurb - one handryer per washroom, with 3 sinks and no paper towels in sight. That works as well as you would expect.

One design flaw in my house and common to most houses is the latency between turning on the hot water tap and getting hot water.
When I reno-ed the kitchen, I should have put in a small 10L passive Hot water tank in the kitchen island fed with hot water from the main HWS. Possibly dont need to heat it as the turnover would ensure hot water from for main tank

This is something that really exercises Mr Seat 0A's design talents when we do renovations - we have done quite a bit of house flipping in our time. Our own house, built over 20 years ago, has a very quick heat up for the kitchen sink and our bathroom. Less so for guest (formerly Seat kids') bathroom downstairs, but we don't have people to stay that often any more.

The hand dryer would warm your hands up?
But generally useless at actually drying hands, i prefer the paper towels quick and effective.

At home have gas hot water and it comes through within a couple of secods at wosrt usually instantly no matter if kitchen, bathroom or laundry. So confounds me in a brand new building why there would be such a wait.

WCMO... well, actually, annoys... CO is a bit strong...

Me: "Alright! It's winter! Not hot in the car any more, so no more need to use aircon, and can save some petrol... woo hoo!"
Demister: "Hold my beer...."

The LATAM website, can't get them to take my money. Frustrating to fill in all the details and the final page lies by saying credit card and email details are invalid. They're not, the website is borked.

For LA you can book via their call centre (local Aussie number) and pay over the phone without issue . A number of the South American airlines local websites arent properly set up to handle foreign bookings as arent compatible with verification or require ID an Aussie wouldnt have.

Ive previously purchase intra-south american flights from LA over the phone on the aussie number without issue. Was even complimented on my correct pronounciation of Guyaquil.
Have recently made bookings online via LA UK site and LA CL; no issue with either. LA Brazil won't work regardless of the old workarounds you could try, so for anything within Brazil you have to pay the non locals price. Booking flights on LA CL to IPC was quite a bit cheaper than the same flights booked via LA UK or LA US - workaround to pay the locals price worked just fine.

It will start but I cannot get past login screen. Just some keys not working. Going to hardly normal now to buy a cheap USB keyboard to get me by. Meanwhile backing up the Asus user files to ext drive and when I came back lappy had turned off. I guess you learn don't you...I have now switched off the turn off (sleep) mode and will start the copy process again.
Update this issue with my Asus Zenbook laptop which after 2 weeks finally came back from Asus today with a complete new OLED screen. However the rubber rest strip underneath which was reported separately has not been repaired and is dangling off the bottom of the laptop. Not what you'd expect in the first place from a machine that currently retails over $4k, but I expected it would have been returned to me with all faults repaired. Just knew I should not have bought an Asus laptop: the Sydney customer support centre is bloody hopeless. End of financial year to be prepared and I have a week-long business trip mid-month so cannot afford to be without it any longer.

HP had the same issue on their Spectre x360 laptops for a while. Essentially it gets too hot, so the glue holding the rubber on melts away.
