HKG lounge crawl 9 June 2024 (the annual Asian lounge crawl)

I think I now have flights into HKG arriving 8 Jun at 17:30 on OM 2971. I was planning to go into town but as most seem to be staying at Novotel Citygate, I have booked there as well.

For those staying at Novotel Citygate at Tung Chung and arriving late, check on the pick-up bus timetables. Before covid, I arrived late - from memory was at the pick-up point at ?10:30pm? and the bus had stopped running. I called the hotel and no-one picked up the phone, on any of the menu choices (reception, restaurant, switch), over multiple calls. I ended up getting a taxi.

Is there a free bus hotel transfer, I didn't even think of this as I was thinking I would arrive and have catch a taxi. For all times I have been to HKG the routine was the same, get off the plane and get on the train to the city.
 
Unfortunately I am going to have to move from Gold to Bronze.

Well, there is a Hong Kong Airlines flight leaving DPS at 08:15 on the 9th. You could even earn Velocity points on that. Then you'd just need a oneworld flight out in the evening. ;)

Thanks @Mattg I did see that, and the OneWorld flight back to DPS isn't till 10 am the next day 🫣 Might have to plan for 2025
