I have some Hilton Premium Club vouchers that expire this month that I am unlikely to use. They include:

* Member for a stay
* 50% off room rates
* Upgrade to a junior suite
* Exclusive room rates

They are fully transferable, so this is all above board. Anyone interested?

Nice gesture Yada Yada & serfty. If they're able to be used in Japan then I'll put my hand up. But I suspect Aust/ NZ only?

Hi BlacKnox. I'm not in the office right now (where I left the vouchers) so I can't check. Maybe serfty can confirm but I think you are probably right about them being only for local consumption.

Same here, but AFAIK, they are for all Oz Hiltons & the AKL hilton only. (Not Conrad ...)

Thanks guys - I'm being hit up for over Aus$300/ night this week-end in TYO (for the Okura), and was hoping to save something the next weekend at a HH property. But all will be forgotten if ICH honors the $.05 rate in HKT :D .

Definitely only Hiltons in Australia and NZ (Auckland). The old program used to have some Asia deals, but they disappeared as a program enhancement a while back.

Yep,

I've still an Asian voucher, supposedly valid until the end of this month. Unfortunaly, the rates no longer exist in the Hilton Res systems.

so how many ppl here will renew their premium club membership?

I did, but a little reluctantly. Work pays for it though. :D I told the person on the phone that I had not really gotten my money's worth in 2005, which addmittedly was not their fault, but that when travelling it is not always convenient to stay in their hotels.

She threw in a few additional upgrades so I took it and will try to make best use of the program this year, even if just for a personal trip with my wife. I've resolved though that if I don't use it enough, finito for 2007.

I really have had my $201.50 worth in Meals alone. With 13 stays in Oz since I joined, it has been most useful. Especially after Hitlon 'comped' me Gold VIP status.

The reason I still have those "50%" vouchers is that I could generally get a better rate with the 20% discount and proper planning.

So I will be rejoining; hopefully using ozstamps's discounted scheme. 8)

I have had one or more memberships for the last 3 or 4 years now. But I do not expect to be renewing it again this year. They have reduced the value significantly since I first joined. And I have a significant HHonors balance and plan on using my points for my personal stays this year while I still get the chance for availability via the Diamond Desk.

I plan to renew and also using the ozstamps discount scheme. As NM states the benefits have gradually reduced however I still have come out well ahead. We'll have to see how this year goes with the change of dinner rules. Like serfty I've recieved more than the cost in dinner value before I consider anything else :!: :D :D :D :D 8)

Warning Warning Will Robinson; I booked an award stay yesterday and remember somewhere that HH is improving (what is that word again) their HH program. IIRC award redemptions will increase from 01/06/06, though no new details announced yet. Maybe wise to book your award stays sooner rather than l8r :idea: .

Thanks for the heads-up. I will need to make the bookings before then as I want to take advantage of the Diamond availability before my status drops.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

was in both priority privilege and hilton premium last yr, did use a couple of the hilton premium vouchers for friends visiting us in sydney, but with changes introduced since Jan 1st, i've not seen the value in keeping both going and when PP offered 2 member cards for the price of 1, had thought that's a better value to plough the money into, also my travel plan this yr rea mainly in the SE Asia region and PP membership does grant some benefit in the said region

I may be, although I am still deciding whether Priority Privilege mught be of more benefit to me, especially given its Feb discount offfer.

your price by the way is quite a good one as i've had to pony up the full $248 for my renewal!

Word I have is it is a rebalancing of award levels by hotel not an increase per se. Some hotels go up a category or two (= more points needed) and some go down.

Thanks for the clarification Kiwi Flyer.

From Hilton.com:

"Effective June 1, 2006, the HHonors hotel reward category for over 900 Hilton Family hotels will be changing. Reward reservations made prior to this date for reward stays at these hotels will be honored at the hotels current HHonors reward category. After June 1, 2006 when members redeem HHonors points for reward stays at these hotels the new reward category will apply. A list of hotels and their new reward categories will be available at the start of 2006."

I need to remember to make my bookings in May as far out as I can. Since HHonors allows award stays to be cancelled and points redeposited it is a no lose option (as long as you have enough points now) - book early and if points go up you have it charged at the lower rate, if the points goes down then cancel get the credit and rebook.
