HH points earning credit cards?

Gday

With the MBL HH Visa being discontinued and Citi Rewards ditching Hilton Honors as a transfer partner are there any Australian issued credit cards left with Hilton Honors points earning abilities?

Indirectly i think there is Amex MR to Virgin Atlantic Flying club then to HH. Anything else?

Thanks.
Pele.

Is the card just close to new applications or it is being withdrawn? I have the card and hate to lose some of the benefits.

I have no inside information but I assume it is just closed to new applications.

It's ashamed SPG/Marriott has been devalued so much, otherwise that would have been a good way to get your points to HH (not that HH points are very valuable anyway).

You would assume that but aren't there still Westpac Krisflyer cards in circulation and that got killed almost 5 years ago?

Currently no new applications, when myself and others have enquired with them it's no other news. So no-one really knows at the moment.

Looks like Macquarie lost the Hilton contract. Citi lost the US contract and Amex is now issuing Hilton cards in the US. Same might eventually happen in Australia.

I have the Macquarie card too. Hope they can keep it going even if with no new applications. I like the benefits on it.

Oh that is interesting. I was going to threaten to close the card again come anniversary date, I guess I won't be doing that and will have to pay the annual fee.

Gday,

MBL just canned the card. From 1 May 2019 all HH cards will be changed to a MBL Black card. Bummer. This card will be binned asap. Slight positive is current status will be extended until 31 March 2021.

Knew this was coming sooner or later. :-(

Wonder if I'll still get my free night if I hit $12K before end of April?

Just got the "Important changes to your Hilton Honors Macquarie Platinum Credit Card" as well. Like others have noted, diamond status will be extended to 31 March 2021. We refinanced our mortgage with Macquarie late last year, so only other benefit for us is saving the $249 annual fee on the replacement Macquarie Rewards Black Credit Card, although at first glance it doesn't look like a particularly appealing product...

It was too good to last and they have been quite generous with the termination.. no complaints here

So I'm currently Diamond and not too fussed about binning the card because I haven't used it for ages but like the extension of the Diamond for 2 years

What airlines can Macquarie reward Points be transferred to?

Is there a thread someone can point me to?

Boo...I really appreciated this card. Have to work out if the new Rewards Card worth holding. But as some have noted, hopefully new Hilton card before 2021. Otherwise it will be a lot of work to gain Diamond from stays given they have not done many Double Stay promos in a while.
