So one of the major suppliers of CRP test reagent randomly just decided to stop supply into australia a couple weeks ago ... not giving labs any warning whatsoever to switch to an alternate supplier. Consequently much of the country is running around like mad chickens trying to validate a new method on the fly. I've seen some *cough* interesting results going out recently despite everyone's best efforts. So rheumatologist thinks the CRP is way too high for a simple relapse of PMR and I must have a significant infection. Except I have no fevers, sweats or anything like that. She's stumped. So am I.![]()
Wow. Interesting. This is the State Govt lab and the E Sed rate was also high which I think is a completely independent test? (69, <20). Plus Lactate Dehydrogenase Test high. Having another test done Friday. But it will be the same lab.So one of the major suppliers of CRP test reagent randomly just decided to stop supply into australia a couple weeks ago ... not giving labs any warning whatsoever to switch to an alternate supplier. Might be worth getting checked at an alternate lab just in case.
