Free ALL Gold Status for QF Silver or above - also Points Club Plus

Assuming you booked direct, you might be able to see upgrades given in the app before you arrive. I think I noticed mine a week or so out from my stay in SIN this week.

Just be careful with fingers. The “Cancel” button is on the same page and there isn’t an “Are you sure?” step.

“Bookings” -> “Future“ Bookings -> for the relevant stay select ”Amend or Cancel” -> “Manage my booking”.

That last step is the one to be careful with on a phone or tablet. There can be a bit of a pause and a “Cancel this reservation” button can be where the MMB button was.

Anyway, you will see the room category booked (or compare with your confirmation email to see if you’ve already been upgraded).

Looks like I’m in the room I booked for tonight’s stay. I blame all the new Gold members for my Platinum benefit being unavailable. 😉🤣

Yeah, the “Amend or Cancel” is a bit redundant. They should just have the MMB button…
What are they doing for WPs who had already earned ALL gold on their own dime? Nothing?
It’s been reported that existing Golds will get extended until Dec 2023 (obviously still not relevant if you’ve requalified already). I haven’t, so it will be interesting to see if my status ticks over.

I had previously linked my ALL and QFF accounts when the arrangement came out some time ago. I have just registered via the link above and I suppose I will now be automatically upgraded to Gold.

For me, it is actually a good incentive to migrate myself across from IHG to ALL.
So I tried to sign up but my ALL Silver thru AccorPlus free from Amex and QFF Silver are already linked. Tried to apply for the offer but QFF website says my accounts are already linked. Will those already linked be auto-upgraded to ALL Gold after August 12? what message did you get?
 
So many questions...

- 4 weeks to get upgraded...?!?! These are frequent travellers they're targeting....!! Crazy timeframe!
- No mention of how long status is valid for. I can see many thinking its valid for as long as you have QF status/ALL account linked to QFF.
- 1 stay to get Plat, is it then downgraded to Gold or to base level, or is it Plat so long as QF status maintained?
- For those on Amex/Accor Plus - will Gold overwrite Accor Plus? If Gold gets downgraded/timeframe, will it wipe away Accor Plus?

Feels like a rushed promo IMO

I had the same problem as well. Happened to be on LinkedIn and read the Qantas message there. Sent reply to the OP (QF Head of Airline Loyalty & Partnerships) and he firstly thought I must have linked to AF/KLM. I told him that I've never been a member of either FF program. I then sent him screenshots. Then he says that if I'm already linked QFF & ALL then all you need to do is register for the offer and it'll be sorted. Now will patiently wait the 28 days but I'm with you @trippin_the_rift, WTF is with 28 days? I'll have made bookings in that 28 days and been comfortable again with my 2 programs of choice. They'll have lost me.

I can only assume that the status linking must require a manual update process at the ALL end, and they expect a lot of people to take up the offer. Hence they are setting expectations low and hopefully will not disappoint as they plough through thousands of accounts that have registered for the status revisions.

However, this sort of promotion should all be automated and instant. The technology is available for instant identification and status update, which ultimately is likely less expensive to facilitate than manual account processing at scale.
 
I also got the invitation.. My favorite hotel group is Hyatt and also have life time points accumulation and globally very helpful and always can get a room with points. Qantas need to do more than basic offers to get their customers back. For a change, getting rid of this lousy CEO will greatly enhance the brand.

Does your ALL status show as "fast track"? I think I had the same issue: I'm P1, was already linked, tried to subscribe and didn't get gold instantly, just fast track silver (as I was ALL silver already). Hadn't realised I'd have to wait a month.

Happy to book as I'm not traveling until Sept/Oct, but just want to be sure that if I book I will get the plat status.

Yes, same here. I’ve emailed Accor but no respone as yet (36+ houtrs).
 
Bit not happy about this. About a month before QF tied up with Accor I linked my Accor and Flying Blue accounts. According to FAQ you can only change once every 12 months 😥

Unless you have a glut of points or history you wish to retain within the same account, why not just open a new one? Who’s to know, but you? If you don’t require the old one, its quite straight forward to kill it.

Shows no change (ie. No “fast track” showing). But not unexpected

As per the Conditions of the offer:
Gold status will be reflected within the member’s ALL - Accor Live Limitless account within four weeks of the offer end date.
