Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

That was for Mrs andye. I just got the same offer for $140
Both doable in our house but may be better to lay low (though nothing better at WW)

My offer was $110 per week for 3 weeks for 5000 points...delete

so you need to do the spend in week 1 to then get the week 2 spend reward to then get the week 3 award.

Slight variation on how woolies were doing it.

seem to be getting more love from flybuys than woolies at the moment. with the shopper docket bonus 1000 points added to 500 for a $50 shop on the weekend it looks like coles are the winners.

and even if you just do week 1 and forego weeks 2-3, you'll get the 500 points.

Mine is spend $100 for 3 weeks for 5000 pts ($25) so I don't think it's terribly generous. Don't think I'll be activating.

In December I took up a Flybuys offer with OPSM. The bonus points were paid to my account this week. I got 2000 bonus points for a $2 purchase which means I made an $8 profit on the targeted offer.

I'm sure it's been covered before but is there any expert opinion as to whether it's better to activate and not spend, activate and underspend or not to activate at all

often i activate and then don't spend. a few times i've underspent, but generally if the ask is too much i don't activate and then don't shop for a week or 2 and hope coles gets the message.

but it does seem to take quite a while for the spend requirement to drop off.

I don't know the best thing to do with the system.

I activate every offer to show I want more offers and want to engage in this process in the loyalty system. If I'm not taking up the offer I don't swipe my card at all, unless I'm fishing for a docket deal. I don't know enough about the system to say whether this is the right approach. The reps on facebook and loyalty program experts say it is useful to show the companies how we want to be involved in each program.

You were the expert I had in mind
I suspect only the true insiders really know more

I activate every offer and probably use about 25% of them. I do this because occasionally I manage to use an offer that I didn't expect to. I think that it is only actual spend (or lack of) that changes the value of offers.

I only activate offers I will use. And I scan my card every time, to keep my average spend low (e.g. scan it on $3 purchases). I don't know if this works but so far seems to be keeping my targets down.

Most recent lot of coupons was $60/750 pts and 5x pts, which is more generous than last time ($50/500pts and 3x pts). I used one yesterday along with a few of the product ones (ice cream and makeup pads). I don't really know if I'm playing the system to my advantage but to be honest I go to coles because the prices are better than WW, the parking is easier etc. It's about convenience for me :)

Got this email below. Not as good as 15% bonus in December. Works out to be about 11.5% bonus.

The wording sounds like a once off to me. It says OR to indicate it applies to one item only depending on your purchase. It says 400 points will be collected not 400 points each time. I wonder how much they are selling the HiFiLoGi 650gm Block Loaf for. If it's under $2 for any of the items mentioned then you will make a profit on the deal.

Yes I think you can get the bonus points multiple times. If it was only once the t&cs would include a statement like 'BONUS POINTS can only be collected once per flybuys household.'

My data point: I got bonus point on both punnets of cherry tomatoes I bought in the last targeted offer (unexpectedly, I needed two, it wasn't deliberate!)
