PLEASE INCLUDE DATE, FLIGHT NUMBER, ORIGIN & DESTINATION IN ALL REQUESTS
>>>> ADDED BY ADMIN (6 Sept 2010) <<<<

Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions about seat availability on specific flights. These are all valid questions and we all appreciate the efforts our members go to to provide answers.

The only drawback is that our forums can become "cluttered" with specific questions about availability on specific flights. This tends to reduce the overall usability of our site.
We have therefore created this new consolidated thread where you can ask questions about seat availability on specific flights. Hopefully, this will reduce clutter and improve useability.

Guidelines for posting in this thread
Please post questions about availability of specific flights or upgrade probability in this new consolidated thread. Be sure to include the airline, flight number, date, origin and destination and any other relevant detail.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

Thanks!

See this thread for hints on how to read loadings:

If looking for, say Qantas points upgrades, look for A class for First, mid to high D or any I class for Business and any R for Premium Economy.

Look for the most expensive category of the cabin YOU are currently booked in as being sold out e.g. J0 to first, W0 to Business & Y0 to PE for increased op-up chances. Also, look for availability on the discount premium buckets (A, P, I, D, U, T & Z inventories).

Conversely, look for high numbers in the discount economy buckets (N, O, Q, E & X inventories) for reduced op-up chances.

Seat maps can be a VERY rough guide but note that just because a seat is not showing as allocated does not mean that seat hasn't been sold. Not everyone pre-selects seats.

Original thread title: update on QF93 on 12 sept

Appreciate it if someone could check EP for loadings.

With E/F, screen prints are not necessary. They have a nice "

Share Results" link at the upper right of most results pages.

Click that, select the "BB Code" option, then the offered parameter (date/class/etc. depending on search) and click either "Copy to clipboard" or "Download to file" (I generally use the former).

I then paste the result in the post and edit a bit (here to move the fare bucket loading results to the left margin and remove result of no interest):

Thanks, Serfty. I am aware of that way - but I keep forgetting which option I need to choose  - so I just take a snip.

Thanks Defurax!!! S0 my chances to Y+ is slim on both flights. Last time I got upgarded to Y+ and hoping the same would happen..... Fingers Crossed!

Can someone please assist with loading for the following?

CX127 SYD-HKG 29 March 2015
CX128 HKG-SYD 06 April 2015

Still early but I have upgrade requests to business on both flights. My first upgrade on Qantas.

I think you mean QF127/QF128 JK ;).

Anyway, hereQF127.jpg you go, mate:

Hi,
travelling with our family of 5 (2 adult, 2 children and 1 infant) in March to Europe and was wondering about the flight loading (and any chance to "spread out" a bit after take off) or whether we are confined to allocated seats. Travelling in Y
March 20 - EY451 SYD-AUH
March 21 - EY45 AUH-DUB
April 24 - EY78 AMS-AUH
April 25 - EY450 AUH-SYD

Thanks in advance

I doubt that EF output will help, especially this far out. Even is it shows the usual maximum of 9 for every fare bucket in whY, it could in theory mean that there are only a total of 9 seats vacant. That is unlikely but it really gives no definitive idea of the total vacant seats.

A day or so before may give some clue.

Really, the true value of EF seat availability is seeing whether UPGs are available.

Hi guys,

Flying from LAX-BNE on the 26th of Feb (2 weeks time) and assessing the best chance of an upgrade (as a SG). Wanted to see if my thoughts matched those more experienced!

LAX-BNE QF15 J9 C9 D9 I5 W3 R1 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N4 Q2 G0 E0
LAX-SYD QF12 F7 A3 J9 C9 D6 I0 W3 R0 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 G0 X9 E0
LAX-SYD QF18 J9 C9 D0 I0 W1 R0 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 G0 E0

I was going to book today/shortly and the price between flying direct and via SYD or even MEL is negligible, and being a saturday, a stop in SYD is fine, there are no time pressures. My preference is to fly via SYD as that extra 20SCs tips me over to WP!

While QF12 is relatively booked (based on looking at the actual seat maps already allocated - J and PE is a solid sea of blue), I figured given the likelihood of J->F upgrades that provides an advantage over QF15 and QF18.

Thoughts? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Mrs 2905 and I are flying to the UK on QF9 on 25/2/15 (which will probably become early on 26/2/15, going by recent stats :(). I've offered up the 120,000 points required to upgrade us both from PE to J; anyone care to hazard a guess as to our chances of getting it? We're both only NB at the moment; won't make PS until we've flown there and back.

I only have enough points to request an upgrade in one direction, so I figured I'd try the outbound first. If we get it, great, and if not, then I'll try for the return.

FWIW, the return flight is QF2 on 19/3/15; probably too far out at this stage???

The current availability for QF9 is: F7 A4 J9 C7 D1 I0 W4 R1 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 G0 E0, so always a chance although at just under 2 weeks a bit hard to really tell.

QF2 has F3 A2 J9 C0 D0 I0 W9 R5 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 G0 E0, which is also promising at this stage. But it is close to the start of the school holidays then, so way to early to tell what demand there might be over the next month or so.

Good luck and hope you have a reat trip.

Hi All

Could anyone tell me the stats for QF10 - LHR-MEL which runs as QF10 - LHR-DXB on 16th March and QF10 DXB-MEL on 17th March? Seeing if its worth trying to upgrade my folks from PE to J.

Thanks in advance

It's one month out - too early to tell. Doesn't hurt to put in the request though.

Would anyone know the seat loadings on QF52 out of Singapore to Brisbane tonight? 21st Feb?

Wife and I have cheap Red Deal seats with no upgrade options but I'll ask and hope for a points miracle.

Thanks
