I’m tall and could easily find it more comfortable to sit like this but I don’t. It is terrible manners in my view. Do these people sit with their feet on their walls or their dining table at home?

You're literally sitting right next to the person. Why didn't you say something if it bothers you so much? Or perhaps you did?
