Flight attendants are there for your comfort but primarily for your safety. Bare feet on bulkheads impact neither. In the airline world, sartorial advice is strictly the preserve of lounge dragons.

That may all be true, but bare feet aren't just being placed against bulkheads: they can go on tables or elsewhere, as photos herein demonstrate.

And shoes that press up against bulkheads may mark surfaces, which over time become degraded.

I wouldn't do these things in my lounge room at home and apply the same standard to travelling by any mode. Respect the 'furniture'.

At least slight attendants must be disgusted by such behaviour so a quick word from them ought sort out the malcontents.

How do you reconcile the footrests in QF premium economy? They are designed to place shoes and feet against the bulkhead.

An aircraft is a bit of an anomaly. There are several serfaces in premium cabins which are designed for putting feet and shoes on… so will get degraded. Think the cubby holes on most premium seats for example.
